Product Overview

In choosing a greenhouse for your backyard or garden, the first thing you need to think about is the construction material. Glass can shatter into dangerous pieces and is therefore a safety concern. On the other hand, polyethylene sheets used in cheaper greenhouses are flimsy and subject to tearing. DuraMax greenhouses avoid both problems. They will not shatter or break like glass, nor will they tear like poly sheets. The walls are made of solid polycarbonate. The polycarbonate walls are rated as “all-weather durable” so they will never rot or rust. And like glass, they are ultraviolet-resistant. DuraMax greenhouses use only the highest quality materials and adhere to the strictest quality control standards.

  • All-weather durable polycarbonate walls are UV resistant and will not break or shatter like glass nor tear like poly sheets
  • Metal wall columns and foundation for superior strength
  • Contemporary design will beautify your backyard or garden

We live in the mountains of Western North Carolina and I would hate to lose the fig trees for which I'm looking at greenhouses.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice and almost easy I purchased this greenhouse for my wife it would get the "jungle" out of our den. For several years we had tried cheap alternatives, that usually didn't make it through the winter, or homemade construction, that proved effective but a lot of trouble to create and build. With some apprehension I decided to order this greenhouse. I was mostly concerned about the price, quality, and difficulty to put together. I was greatly surprised to see every piece was stamped or labeled to identify it which made constuction much easier. Also, didn't need any "special" tools. Just a cordless drill with a phillips bit, a small wrench, a small hammer, and a level. My wife and I put it together over a couple of days in about 12 hours. (not bad for a mechanically challenged couple) It was worth the price and looks great. It works well and has just enough room for a dozen large and medium sized plants. My concerns were alleviated and we are very happy, both with the product and that WE did it. (That was the best part.) December 11, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product for the price The directions are clear and easy to follow. A few of the parts are not labeled, but it wasn't too hard to figure out which they were. The door catches a bit when you open and close it and the interior measurements are slightly smaller than 8x10. This is a two person build and will require 4-6 hours on multiple days. You will need an electric screwdriver or drill and a ladder. We used 6 tubes of silicone to seal up all of the small gaps in the greenhouse. It will be fine to leave them open for the spring and summer months as the greenhouse holds heat nicely, but you will likely want to seal it before winter. We have severe thunderstorms with 35 mile per hour winds frequently. The greenhouse has stood up to these and hail without a problem. Our neighbors lost their fence and one is having hail damage repaired on their roof, but the greenhouse had no issues. This is a great starter greenhouse. I would recommend it if you would like to try out a greenhouse, but not make a huge financial investment. This greenhouse is functional and cost effective. May 22, 2011
