exactly how "leak-proof" is the assembled roof when subjected to hrs of continuous, heavy rainfall??? what about extreme temperatures??

ie, will the assembled product withstand the scorching summers weve been having in california (up to 110/120 degree days) without the plastic exterior warping??
Asked by: blitzen
The roof is completely leak proof and continuous rainfall should not effect it. The product is designed for the western sun and has been extensively tested and used in California and Arizona without any issues as it's made out of PVC unlike other plastic sheds.

Where is the ventilation on shed?

Asked by: NICKLE
The vent kit can be placed on any panel by making a cutout in the pvc panel with a drill or jig saw. We provide two vent kits as standard but we give the option of placement to the customer as every situation differs

Customer Reviews

Yardmate 5 ft. x 8 ft. Storage Shed with Floor is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I was expecting This shed is very weak, the floor bends, crackles, and pops when you walk on it, the roof leaks, the extensions have a different color floor and they stick out from the sides further than the "main" section. Assembly instructions were weak and very vague when trying to assemble the roof trusses. Not real happy with product but I purchased without seeing and that's what I get.....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from need help to build: the base has to be AS LEVEL AS POSSIBLE (Like on a concrete slab) because it effects the installation of the wall panels which effects the roof panels. There should be a way to screw the wall panels into the wall stiffeners as you go to keep them in place (that would make the build so much easier) - the roof panels have to align with the the holes in the metal bracket to allow the plastic expansion fasteners to seat properly-- very difficult to put in.. Ended up using sheet metal screws with washers to help put it together and silicon in the plug holes. (To me the floor is not strong enough) and the Right door frame came bent. Once finally together -- it will do what i need.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Flimsy! I expected a much sturdier product based on some of the other reviews. When fully assembled, you can literally push the whole shed around on concrete with one hand. Thank God I bought cable to tie it down. For this size & low quality, basic shed the cost should be about $300-400 range, not almost $900.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good size for my needs This product was difficult to assemble, mostly due to the very poor instructions. These were simple drawings created for the 5' X 3' "Base model" shed which have been modified to provide some instruction for the 5' X 5' version. If you purchased this, as I did, as a 5' X 8' you were totally on your own to figure out how to add the 3' extension. The instructions with that kit were the same instructions that came with the base shed with the addition of instructions on how to dis-assemble the base shed to add the extension kit. A little text with these instructions would go a long way in making them more understandable. There were many parts where it was difficult to determining which way the part should be installed. I also had a lot of trouble getting the holes in the plastic beams to align with the holes in the aluminum extrusions. Once these parts were aligned they did fit together well although it takes a lot of effort to screw in the screws. Once the shed was assembled I found it wasn't very strong and lacked rigidity. to remedy this I installed 3" corner brackets in each corner and 3' X 3" T brackets at the top of each support piece. the screw holes in these brackets align perfectly with the existing screw holes in the framing beams and only required drilling 3 additional holes. this significantly increased the strength of the shed and also lock the side panels in place, as the only thing holding them in are the groves in the vertical support beams. The plastic handles on the doors are completely inadequate for securing the shed with a pad-lock and will have to be replaced. The structure of the doors will make it very difficult to add a hasp so replacing them seems to be the only option. That being said, I was able to assemble the shed by myself in about 12 hours. Any wind at all makes it all but impossible to assemble without several helpers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ended Up returning I purchased this product. It came to me damaged. I began assembling the shed and many of the holes are parts did not match up. Not to mention the instructions were not clear and did not even include instructions for the size shed I purchased. Only instructiosn for the 5x5 shed. About halfway through, i found 6 parts missing that were crucial to construct the side walls. I ordered the parts I need to continue the shed, which took an additional week to get to me. As I continued the construction, I found 4 more pieces missing for the roof structure. Overall ten pieces were missing. At this point, I had put 6 hours of time into constructing it. Ended up returning the product.
