We researched many generators and you will not find a better bang for your buck. This generator comes with all the special connectors too so that saves you about $60 in connectors. Easy to assemble, started up on the first turn of the key after we put in oil and fuel. We have used it every day for 2 weeks and its working great. Highly recommend!

Relatively easy to assemble however, attaching the Positive Battery cable was a slight challenge with limited access room. Operationally the unit works very well and after warming up a few minutes (less than 3 minutes) the output meets the designated running wattage. Have not had the opportunity to run in a power outage yet, I have confidence this unit will rise to the occasion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good generator Have had this generator for quite some time. Wanted to be sure I've had ample time to run it through the wringer before writing a review. I see lots of complaints about the battery and cables being hard to hook up. I had no problem at all. Had the whole thing put together in less than 15 minutes. Battery came charged. Started right up. Used it a lot to power my house when the power was out. I can't bog it down. I can run everything I want. Went about 12-14 hours on a tank of fuel. I run non-ethanol premium 93 octane gasoline in it. Very good generator, and not just for the money. I'd put this up against any other brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Real Problem Long story short, I went through two of these before I gave up. The first one, the engine seized up. Had it for about 40 days. (yes there was plenty of oil in it) Returned to Home Depot, and after a long drawn out affair, they agreed to have corporate issue a check. Said it might take 4-6 weeks. Groan. Actually got it in two. Good job. The second one ordered from HD, and it lasted 3 hours. Then it stopped generating power. I did all that i knew to do. Took it back, and got a credit on our credit card because we had it less than 30 days. When they worked, the 50 amp service did everything on our 37 foot 5th wheel. Worked really well, but it was very loud. It did eat up fuel, got about 10 hours before it ran out. With an 8 gallon tank, it started to get a bit costly. Soooo, I went back to the Honda 3000i that we had. It will work with the air in the trailer, but not much else at the same time. So we are dealing with it. The Honda is extremely quiet. I mean extremely . And I get 13-14 hours per tank, so it is much cheaper to run. Certainly it costs literally twice as much, but it works every time. It was impossible to find a generator for $1000.00 that has a 50 amp circuit, so this was a real disappointment. In looking on line initially no one had bad things to say. Now, with more indepth research, i found lots of problems, not the least of which there is NO tech number. None, zero, zip. One fellow said the company based in California imports these from China, repackages them, and then sells them. Who knows cause you can't reach them. I guess when something looks too good to be true, maybe it is a warning. Finally, I am glad to have bought this from Home Depot. I did look on line, and could have ordered it from other companies, but a return would have been a nightmare. I knew that. Something just told me DON'T order from an internet company. Certainly glad I didn't. Buyer be forwarned, and BEWARE.!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Duromax generator Getting my generator through Home Depot was very good.. The Gen. Started, ran, output was very good.. The only thing I had a problem with is a small fuel leak at or near the shut off valve.. I tighten the nut between the fuel shut off and fuel tank.. I have not retested the fuel leakage...
