Is there a gas gauge?

One of the reviews said that we'd be disappointed if expecting a gas gauge - that Duromax was sending him the correct tank. Is there or is there not a gauge to indicate level of fuel in tank?
Asked by: Paul
yes , on mine it is right on the gas cap

Adding a presure regulator to the Propane tank. Durmax 4400 Generator

I am a worry wart about gas and propane. I want to add a propane regulator to cut down the tank pressure of 200 LBS to the Generator. I am using an adjustable regulator from 0 to 30 LBS. I set it at the max pressure 30 LBS. This regulator is said to be able to handle 2 large propane grills. I think it has a BTU rating of 80,000 My question is, what is the min pressure needed to run a Durmax 4400 generator. Or BTU rating.. Many propane hoses come with a regulator but are not labeled with or by pressure or BTU.
Asked by: Bill
To run the Duromax 4400 Generator, we recommend 11 inches of water column, which is slightly less than 1 PSI

Probably why it's now listed as a "special buy" indicating it's poor quality for almost $200 less than what I had to pay for it on 12/03/16. Impossible to get service via the manufacturer's warrantee...have waited more than two weeks for what they said would be a 24-48 hour contact wait. Still no contact. Boo-Hiss!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product I was concerned about ordering a product like this online, but it turned out really well. The delivery was on time. The instructions were easy to follow and the generator fired right up. The only problem I had was the tools that were sent were useless (metric). One of the shipping bolts was stuck and I needed a box wrench to remove it and I didn't have any metric tools so I had to borrow some. If there are any women out there looking to purchase something like this, go for it, but make sure you have the right tools for the task.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good machine Now I own something actually legal in Calif. My generator arrived in a week and in great shape, well boxed. Wheel kit and handles went on in 30 minutes. Tough to follow the directions, when it says see fig. 1,2 etc. all you see is a hand and a wrench, you can't see what he's actually working on. Just look at the picture on the box. Filled it with oil and gas and it started on the first turn of the key. It's super quiet compared to my Briggs and Stratten Vanguard. Ran it on an easy load test with a refrig. and a floor drying fan with no problems. I live in the Fla. Keys and I feel I'm ready for hurricane season. I'll write a new review if I really need to test it this season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product was exactly what I had hoped for. I liked everything about the emergency generator that I purchased from Home Depot and the price was excellent for what I got.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Oil fill and drain locations The oil drain plug is above the frame cross member so the oil can't drain drectly to a pan. The angled funnel that is included makes oil filling ok . Did about 2hours of run in with changing loads 0, 500W and 1000W. Oil change then 24 hour run without problems.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice machine I ordered this generator for my fathers house. He is elderly and has mobility issues, so the key start was the most important feature. The first time I started the generator it fired right up and ran well. When plugged into the transfer switch on his house it handled the load with ease. The circuits on his transfer switch include the refridgerator, furnace, sump pump as well as many lights in the house. I plan on getting another for my home as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Complaints Took it out of the box, did a few required assembly chores according to instructions, put some gas in it and...this is the best part....turned the key to start whence the engine immediately started and came up to operating RPM. Love that electric start which is worth the money. Also love that voltage meter - first time I've had one of those on a generator of this type. I didn't install the wheels or handles because the generator is installed in a fixed position where it's used for powering a submersible water pump in a 150 feet deep water well to keep a 1400 gallon water tank filled with drinking water for cattle. During the heat of summer it runs on average 30 minutes daily to refill the partially lowered tank with at least 300 gallons. So far it's performing as advertised. No complaints. Would definitely recommend this generator for anyone so interested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great generator, battery start is the best feature very satisfied with the quality and features. One problem, if you are expecting a gas gauge you may be disappointed, mine did not have the gauge but duro max says they are sending me the correct tank?
