This generator does what it advertises. I've used it during blackouts to run fridges, space heaters or window air conditioners.
Once you start getting past its rated 3500 watts, you do notice that the generator starts bogging down.
It's a bit noisier than the specs would indicate, about the same volume as a standard lawnmower. But it won't wake the neighbors.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jonathan Awesome Generator
We have had this generator for a few months now and love it. The dual fuel work great. My only complain is I have to replace the gasoline fuel line. After that fix this thing had been great. We have ran our dishnetwork receiver, 32" flat screen, a LED work light, and our single family basic refrigerator and freezer. It is been rolled over lots of stuff and held and and been driven in a trailer hitch shelf at an angle for hours then set up and run and has ran great. The only time I have had to use the pull start is when we first got it to get it running to charge the battery. Since then I have used the key to start. We have run this after letting it sit in a in a our unheated garage in low 20s and after a little choke play it started right up. We have been running this on propane mostly for our weekly hour run. We keep the onboard gasoline tank full with stabile I case of an emergency and we have to move quick. Great, strong product.

Just bought this piece of junk (and returned). Brand new only had 30 volts available on the twist lock 120v only. I got this generator because of this feature. My hubby and me are electricians. Home Depot took it back no questions asked. Home Depot I give a 10.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rick Do Not Buy the Duromax XP4400E
I purchased The Duromax xp4400e for it's RV grade 70 dBa noise level, features such as 240 v outlet, electric start and a good match for my home needs. I had to return the first one because it would not run. I called Duromax , who felt it was a carburetor issue. So it went back to Home Depot. They balked initially at having some gas and oil in the engine. But how else am I supposed to test it. I had a second generator sent out and began to assemble it tonight. Turns out the welds on the battery assembly for the electric start were defective and the battery fell right off. So back to Home Depot for the return. Luckily no gas or oil in it this time. So now I have to begin again in my search for a quiet portable well made generator.

Excellent generator. Starts on the first pull every time. Would be nice if it had the auto idle feature that automatically puts the engine at idle when there is no load on the generator. Other than that, it is all you need in an emergency for a great price.

This started nicely at first--ran it for about 30 minutes. One month later, tried to start again with no luck. Neither with the electric or pull start. Not a hint of spark. Called the company. The warranty was worthless. It has been sitting in the garage as a space holder. The new Champion generator has proven a solid workhorse--good company and great product. Do not make the same mistake as I did.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by KenR DuroMax 4,400 Watt 7.0 HP
Upon receipt of the unit the minor assembly was quick and easy. We took the unit out for a trial run camping this weekend. The unit started fairly quickly after some minor adjustment of the choke. It ran well, however while running it interfered with the radio reception in the trailer. The rating of 68 db @ 21 ft sounds generous, but hey, it's a generator. It's going to be loud. For the price you get what you pay for. All-in-all the unit performed as advertised. No problems as of yet.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JayEmm Didn't work out for me
My initial impression with this unit was good. It seemed to be built well and had what I was looking for at a good price. Unfortunately when I went to test it to make sure it would be ready to go, it failed miserably. I originally tested it to make sure it ran and that the generator worked. It never ran more for a few minutes however.
When I decided to test, I put in about a gal. of fresh gas.
It would run for three or so minutes and then die for no reason. Shortly thereafter, it would not start at all. This is on a pretty much new/unused out of the box machine.
I called Home Depot 800 number and I will say this, they were very helpful and got a store manager on the line.
The issue was confirmed at one store and my money refunded via gift card at another. Props to Home Dept for standing behind it but it is beyond frustrating to go thru the hassle in the first place. You would think small engines would be more or less figured out in this day and age.
Regretfully, I cannot recommend this unit though others have had good luck with it.
