This unit replaced older very noisy generator. I read many of the reviews good and bad. I had no problems with assembly. There was no less than five warning tags to remove metal shipping plate. I immediately tested it after adding oil and some gas. Battery still had a good charge so started with ease. I was pleased with the significant drop in noise level from old generator. There was minimal smell running it for 15min for first time. Restarted it an hour later with no problems. Haven't tested it it with propane yet. I had a 10% discount coupon so cost me less than another online service which both offered free shipping. Just in case I did have a problem it would be easier to haul down to local store. So far no issues very happy with purchase. They even included a male 30 amp plug which I used to build another cord my old unit used a 20 amp plug which meant I had to change my access box to a 30 amp as well. Nice thing was housing box was same size so just had to switch plug part. I usually put in wire with higher amp rating so didn't have to change that as well.

I like the generator, I wish they would have made a dual in 7000 watt. 4400 watt does almost everything at my camp. 10,000 is way to much for next step up in a dual. Pouring gasoline in is a challenge, the opening is too small. The location of the choke is off to the side, It would have been better had it located at the logistics location like everything else.

Very little assembly required. Went together as advertised.

The only assembly was the wheel kit and it went on easily. Started quickly on LP, ran for 2 hrs. powering a 7.5KW RV air conditioner. Later put it on gasoline and again started easily and ran good.
Changed the oil after four hours and no junk noted in oil.
Unit seems well designed and assembled even if it is Chinese. Cost and features are great when compared to an equivalent Honda but time will tell how durable it is.
Only negative is documentation. There owners manual is mostly boiler plate. The unit offers 110 and 220 but gave no instructions how to get the full output at 110. I finally found that online in a post.

I purchased the DuroMax 4,400 Hybrid Dual Fuel Propane/Gas Powered generator in hopes that I would rarely have to put gas in it. I purchased it mainly for camping with my trailer and did not want to mess with the potential of the gas smell and mess. Long story short - the unit would not start with propane. Tried everything.

It was easy to put together and started right up. I ran it for about 15 minutes and held a small load with no problems. I love the dual fuel capability.
The throttle for the choke is plastic and seems a little flimsy and it is a little awkward putting in the oil. Otherwise, this seems like a pretty good value.

I'm returning this to Home Depot. First off, oil funnel broken, no big deal, it was flimsy plastic packed in with heavy parts. The battery was stone dead, measured 8.8 volts. Trickled charged for hours, but will not hold a charge capable of starting it.
Started it will the pull start. Started OK and voltage meter read 130 volts. Let it run for a while to charge up the battery. (Would not charge, later hours of trickle charge.) Started it up with the pull start again. Plugged a light into the outlet, it just flickered on and off. Volt meter reads zero, pops up a few volts now and then. Just left it running for over an hour, still not enough battery charge, still flickering voltage. Checked DC output, also flickers from 0 to a few volts.
Bought it to run on propane, its quieter running volume, electric start, etc., but what good is this if it doesn't produce usable electricity.
