Answer:
You cannot get 30 amps at 120 volts because this generator is setup to run 3500 running watts at 240 volts. 3500/240=14.5 amps. If you do not need 240 volts you should return this generator and purchase a generator that is capable of running 30 amps at 120 volts. Especially one that has 2 20 amp breakers and a 30 amp breaker. Yours is a common concern with these 240 volt generators at this wattage. Read More

Personally, I would never buy a 240 volt generator with less than 5000 running watts. Read Less

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE IT Was looking for a smaller generator to mainly keep my refrigerator and some lights and radio powered during an outage This does that and a lot more with 3500 continuous watts. (fridge uses about 800 watts). It was delivered quickly with great packaging. You had to remove a metal protector and a piece of wood from the bottom before assembling the wheel kit and handles. The handles fold down for storage. It absolutely takes very little room to store. After adding oil and gas and connecting the battery, it started right up with one of the two keys provided. I love the electric start because it makes it so easy to start. I have the battery on a slow charger (as on my motorcycle and lawn mower). It also has a pull cord to start. It's ready to go in an emergency. I highly recommend. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect size and power output for emergency needs After having to send the first generator back (must have fallen off the truck or something, dented and broken mounts) for replacement 2nd generator arrived in perfect condition. After 20 mins of unpacking and setup it started up within 2 sec. Like that you have a manual switch for EITHER 2 120v or a single 240v plug this to prevent overdraw. Also the 1/2 gallon per hour fuel rate in nice Remember you are probably using this because there is no power which can mean gas may be hard to get. June 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by just what the doctor ordered I NEEDED TO REPLACE MY BACKUP GENERATOR. WITH THE ELECTRIC START I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT PULLING MY MUSCLES TO GET IT STARTED. VERY EASY TO SETUP WITH THE IINCLOSED INSTRUCTIONS. STARTED THE FIRST TIME GREAT BUY January 27, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by INPROPERLY RATED GENERATOR ONLY 3300 WATTS NOT 4400 Improperly rated generator. You only get a 3300 watt generator. No way to get 4400 watts out of unit. Main breaker is 15 amp. Do the math ... 15 amp X 220 volts = 3300 watts. They argued with me but had to accept the facts that this unit is OVER RATED ! DO NOT BUY ! December 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Generator The wheel kit was pretty to put together. Starts up really rasy. December 31, 2013
