You have to cut plastic pieces to fit the grinder. I have a 7 inch grinder. Then inhad to buy an adapter to fit my shop vac. Then as I was grinding mortar dust was still flying everywhere. If it is because i installed it wrong then the kit is too difficult. But I followed the instructions. The dust may be lighter but I wanted a more robust dust management system. Inhave a 14 gallon 6hp shopvac.

I should have known about plastic. Never again. Broke down within 5 minutes.

Used this to remove 100-pounds of thinset and pieces of tile from 150 square feet of concrete floor. It is made from very thin plastic. The bottom edge in contact with the thinset and concrete floor wears away fast to due to the abrasiveness of the thinset. OK for the homeowner do-it-yourself person for one or two small jobs. Aside from the rapid wear of the bottom edge, the only drawback was my vacuum cleaner filter that kept plugging quickly. Had to clean the filter about ever two square feet. In my case it captured between 80-90 percent of dust. In order for unit to perform to manufacturers' 99-percent dust capture claim, a very expensive vacuum cleaner is required. There is no such thing as dry "dustless" concrete grinding.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tony No use. All dust come from edge.
Product should get 0 star. It is not working at all. Broken after one hour use. It's is definitly nor not for grinding concrete. If the task you are attempting will kick up a lot of dust, this product will not contain or channel enough of that dust into the vacuum attchment to be effective. I should save the money to rent a 10" grind mechine from HD. Don't wasting your money!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nick its cheap, both in price and construction
This dust cover does a reasonable job of clearing dust, but it doesn't breath all that well and can lead to grinding wheels overheating. Also the mounting system is marginal at best. I have been able to get it to my 7" Bosch grinder, but it doesn't fit that well and it took 3 or 4 tries to get it to fit properly. I would recommend spending more and getting a Makita dust cover, they fit better and are definitely more robust.

Product doesn't even pretend to work. Giving it a rating of one star is excessive. It might work if you were doing some light sanding but clearly not for grinding concrete. If the task you are attempting will kick up a lot of dust, this product will not contain or channel enough of that dust into the vacuum attchment to be effective. I used 2 different shop vacs without success. Save your money.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by gsev helped keep dust to a minimum
had to get a new hose clamp to attach to grinder. the included one only works with 2 1/4" or larger neck. used to remove thinset from plywood floor and it minimized the amount of dust that was kicked up.

This was easy enough to put on the grinder, but didn't keep the dust in control, also the connection for the vac is not made for a shop vac...you have to buy an attachment. The only way to keep the dust in the vac is to put duck tape over the vents in the top...might as well get a different system all together.
