The smoker was easy to assemble but the little handle on one of the dampers was not welded, held on only with the paint, and so came apart. I drilled a tiny hole and applied a sheet metal screw which solved the problem. I found the heat range acceptable with a low of about 210F and up to 270F. This is more a smoker than an oven but it runs a bit hot for preparing lox. The smoked ribs were delicious and I am glad I have this smoker. It is made of sheet metal and must not be left out in the rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfect! Easy to put together! Absolutely the best instructions I have ever had on anything that I have ever bought! You won't need them though as it is rurally easy to put together. It cooks perfectly. Really easy to keep at the temperature that you want. This is a really good smoker at a great price. Much better than the other smokers I have had over the decades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Smoker This smoker works great, no complaints. It was easy to assemble and has done a great job on brisket, chickens, and pork butts so far. I would recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good smoker NOT FOR COLD SMOKING. This product is only good for 'hot smoking'; that is, cooking food while smoking. If you are looking to cold smoke food like cheese or certain fish, don't buy this. That said, this is a quality smoker. It can handle big meats, just did a 13 lbs. organic turkey in about 6 hours and it came out amazing. The most success I have had on this has been with salmon. It can hold a temp perfectly and yesterday it was -16 degrees outside and it had no problem getting to 300 degrees. Follow the instructions and first do a smoke without any food inside to coat the inside of the smoker to avoid any metallic taste.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Smoker, A little banged up I purchased this smoker after reading a lot a review. I was impressed by the reviews. So when I got it and took it out of the box to assemble I was a little disappointed to see several of the components were dented and misshaped. Still they are only cosmetic and I was ready to give it a try. Assembly was pretty strait forward. I seasoned it as per instructions and the next day smoked a variety of meats. The temperature was easy to control. Adding chips and water is easy and I love the design to catch the condensates. The meat came out beautifully. I am very pleased by the how the smoker cooked the meat. I was once again disappointed once I noted some of the paint coming off of my wood chip box. At this point its only cosmetic, but I do worry about rust in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dyna Glow Smoker I bought this for my Dad. I have been using upright gas smokers for the last 4 years. I even won a local rib competition last year using this type of appliance. While I do not yet own this particular brand, I will buy it as soon as I can save the money. After getting this Dyna Glow for my Dad for Fathers Day and using it while teaching him the basics of smoke cooking, I realized that this product is far superior to the brands I currently own. I have 3, one Masterbuilt and 2 Brinkmans. While the brands I have get the job done, the Dyna Glow is built so much better! I love the latch design for the doors. The fact that it is a 2 door, meaning one small door on the bottom to manage the heat and a large door on top for the food, allows for heat/smoke maintenance without losing your cooking heat. The cooking area is spacious with adjustable rack placement to accomodate all sizes of meats. The heat is consistant so it is similar to cooking in an low oven, (up to around 300 degrees,) except for the added benefit of the smoke. I would reccommend this product to anyone from the seasoned professional to the beginner novice. The food that comes out of this cooker is really delicious!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value Easy to assemble. Of course it took longer than it stated, but I take my time. I've used it twice. Ribs and a Boston Butt were my first two attempts. Temp gauge on door is a little off, but I expected that. Most Are. May use it to smoke the ribs and then transfer to the grill. My grill is connected to the house. So after a couple of hours, I may transfer to the grill. Smoker seems to be well made, but packing material was a bit of a pain to clear from the unit. Styrofoam goes everywhere. Felt sorry for the UPS delivery girl/woman carrying this 70# box to my front door. Seems to work as advertised. I'm kinda new to smoking, but seems to be a good buy. Need to find a real Temp gauge or thermometer. Bottom line: would buy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's not the big boy. Put a 20 lb turkey in it and cooked it over night. Turned out beautiful. You wouldn't be able to put more than a 20 pound turkey or a couple smaller .items.
