All Dyna-Glo Delux Kerosene Forced Air Heaters are CSA certified for multi-fuel use with these fuel types: K1 Kerosene, Diesel #1, Diesel #2, Fuel Oil #1, Fuel Oil #2, Jet A and JP-8. Some gasoline stations in my area (Louisville, Kentucky) have a kerosene pump separate and apart from the gasoline/diesel pump islands. Kerosene costs a bit more some time but stinks less at startup and keeps your heater's spray nozzle cleaner longer.

I'm not sure about other states, but here in Michigan you can find it all over the place right at gas stations. They have a separate pump and you fill your own container. The price fluctuates like gas. Kerosene containers are blue and are available where gasoline containers are sold. The 50,000 btu model doesn't come with a thermostat. Can I use a separate one?

I posted this question but got the wrong answer. Some models have a thermostat built in, this one doesn't. It's also not in the description or the picture. So could I use one with this model.

The answer is yes, you can use a separate external thermostat with the 50,000 btu mode. Most manufacturers start their lineup with a model that puts out around 50,000 btu and they don't incorporate a thermostat in that size heater. Like, you, I utilize a Read More

Most manufacturers start their lineup with a model that puts out around 50,000 btu and they don't incorporate a thermostat in that size heater. Like, you, I utilize a separate external thermostat. We can place the thermostat far away from the heater and that gives much better temperature control than having the thermostat built in to the heater ( I think). Read Less

Drained it, bought new K1, still turned on, ran 2 minutes max, shut off, called support again, they told me the kerosene sensor was shutting off because of low grade k1????? Taking back to Home Depo for refund.
