Can I use this Heater to heat a 2car garage?

I live in CT and my home has an unheated garage. I have a problem with frozen pipes that run through the garage freezing constantly. Will this heater heat the garage during these extreme winter months and can I leave it on during the winter months overnight? I need to keep the garage warm so that the pipes won't freeze anymore.
Asked by: Terez01
It would certainly heat your garage. It has a thermostat so you could set it on a low setting. I think some codes say you can't use in a house or while not attended. You may won't to check on that good luck.

75K BTU Multi-Fuel Portable Heater is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 75K BTU Multi-Fuel Portable Heater We are very happy with the 75K BTU Multi-Fuel Portable Heater we purchased. It is heating our almost 3,000 sq. ft. house nicely until we are able to get a new heating system installed. I love the fact that we have more fuel options for this heater (K-1 fuel is selling for over $10. a gallon but diesel can be found for under $3 per gallon in our area right now); and the fact that it has an automatic shut-off adjustable thermostat has helped us use far less fuel for heating our home right now then when we attempted to stay warm using K-1 only heaters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great heater Using to heat my shop 24x36, works great. Using offroad diesel, alot cheaper than kerosene. No smell. Replaced a old 100,000 btu heater, so much quieter and works better, love the thermostat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design no wonder discontinued 3rd winter had to replace fuel lines again as they crack and break. Apparently there is a lot of heat in the area. Fuel gage been history since first use as it broke. Fuel cap leaks. Other than that once it runs or runs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dyna-glo 75 btu Multi fuel It is awesome!!! I use #1 diesle so the fuel won't gel. I heat a 30 by 56 ft pole barn with it while I'm building. Quiet, runs great, reliable and the price was right

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be a lot better Kerosine heaters should be the most efficient heaters available, many are, that's why the government and oil companies don't want you using them. However, while this heater does a good job at heating, it is not very efficient. If quick heat in a not too well insulated area is your objective, this heater is probably a good bet (although it does require electricity). However, efficient heat over a prolonged period of time is not its forte! One reviewer said they used it to heat up their home until they installed a new heater. At the efficiency level of this unit and the current price of fuel, it would cost at least $50 a day to keep the house heated with this unit and I just can't see spending $1,500 a month! Not the best heater for what I wanted but it does the job well, just not efficiently. I would recommend this product for someone having a specific need for a quick heating unit where efficiency was not too important.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Efficient heat but poorly built Excellent performance from the heaters when using diesel. Overall heating of 1500sq ft greenhouses with outdoor temps at 35F is enough for the units to be worth the price considering the alternatives that are available. So far, the thermostats work well and function within 3 degrees of the setting. Bought 3 units to heat greenhouses and happy with the overall product but the units are constructed from very cheap parts - namely the gas tank, fuel gauge and gas cap. Poor positioning of the gas cap makes filling the tank a royal pain. The cap is up against the rear housing meaning a funnel will fall out when filling and gas cans won't empty their contents without using a funnel. 2 of the 3 units had broken gas cap pins so I had to make pins so the caps would seal tight enough to not leak. The other unit has a broken fuel gauge. The gas cap is meant to be held in the tank when open by way of a chain but the bar that holds the chain in the tank is too short so it will fall out easily.
