I understand that but want to shift the temperature up 5 degrees. 60 is too cold and 70 is too warm.

No. 1 diesel fuel can be used if kerosene is not available, but make sure there is extra added ventilation when using diesel fuel. The instruction manual is located beside the Product Overview on the home depot product page.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy The heater was double boxed, well padded and undamaged. Assembly was simple, and try as I usually do, I couldn’t find anything that ‘needed’ improvement. It’s been many years since I’ve used this type of heater. Using it, I was expecting a slight throat irritation. That never happened. The heater burns very clean. We’ve had it for three cold months and are very satisfied. April 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It will get the job done!! It was easy to put together and I feel the value was good. This product will definitely heat things up!! Very easy to use. The only concern I had was the maintenance that I will have to do every season and every 5,000hrs or so. Really didn't want to keep a log for the hours I use this. Also trying to figure out how to replace broken parts will be a nightmare!!! February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by work related need i have several of these heaers and find them to have inproved over the years. the current equptment is satasfactory for the use that we use it for. March 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great heater for the money Heater was quick to assemble. Pretty much fill it up and go. January 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is one awesome heater!!! My husband loves this heater. It completely heats our 2+ car garage (that is only partially insulated) in a matter of minutes. Also, it has a thermostat, so it keeps our garage at a constant temperature. Which meant that we didn't have to move our cleaning solvents, paint cans, and other cold sensitive items to a warmer spot. And most importantly, there is a warm spot for for my husband and son to work on their prospective automotive projects. Winner! January 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Happy This thing a is a joke. I got it to heat my garage (20'X20') which it does very well...when I can get it to turn on. I will sit there for 15-20 minutes trying to coach it into turning on. I almost always have to grab my small propane heater to heat this heater up so it will start. I wound up trouble shooting, which I should not have to do after one use. The thing is I checked everything the guide told me to, taking the thing apart in the process, and nothing is wrong with the individual parts from what I can see. I would find that fact that I have to use a heater to get this one to start extremely funny if I had not just dropped $300 on it. As you can no doubt see from the other reviews some people got on that works...for now. To me that says they skimped everywhere they could to make it and a few that flat out don't work due to that is the cost of business. The choice is yours, but knowing what I know now I would not want to take the chance that I get one of the ones that don't work. Good luck. January 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best investment could ever make Very satisfied, My is husband is subcontract working as a drywall/taper and needed this commercial heater to keep him and his workers warm indoors while they perform their job. It allows them to work comfortable and whats best all is that is user friendly. Priced just right! January 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Starts easy but eventually melted the end cap Loved this heater overall. Started easily when running diesel fuel in it and it has a strong fan. It doesn't blow a big cloud of smoke when starting like some of my other units did. Only had one item I wish was different - the thermostat is EXACT on the temp. If the room changes by one degree it is coming on again. I would rather it have a window of 2-5 degrees before coming on to save start/ stop cycles. After 7-10 tanks of fuel I noticed that the cap on the end of the flame chamber has distorted from the heat and is now not fully burning the fuel. I will be calling for service and hopefully they will stand behind their product! March 11, 2015
