Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Get's The Job Done Purchased this heater to keep me warm while working on job sites outside in mornings here in AZ in Dec & Jan when temps are in 40's and 50's. I put it about 8 feet from where I am working and it throws out enough heat to keep my warm enough to work comfortably. I use it on lowest setting and have to turn it off when temps start rising as it does get warm. I am sure if used in an enclosed space, this heater would raise temps extremely quickly as even outside in open it works great. Due to the forced air fan it is loud and does require electricity, but small price to pay. It's very lightweight and easy to move. The one quality issue is the use of plastic for the nipple that the propane hose threads on to. I guarantee if you are not mindful with that area, the nipple will break off. It's a poor cheap choice and the one thing that stands out as a warning area. I believe it's rated for 12-14 hrs on a 20lb cylinder on low. Great value that could have been excellent if the manufacturer just changed to a metal hose nipple. January 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very nice heater This is a very nice heater. I also purchased the FA60DGD. Almost identical. I do have one suggestion for everyone. If you are using a 20 lb propane tank DO NOT take it to a place that exchanges tanks. They only fill up to 16 lbs of propane which will limit the hours of operation per tank Take your tanks to a service station or filling station that will actually fill the tank with 20lbs of propane. It is the same price so why not get the most heating hours for your money' December 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Massive Heat, Extremely Noisy If you 100% don't care that it's loud , (80-84dB). Than its excellent. Dislike the always running fan and igniter. Massive amounts of heat for a 2 bay garage. Pretty simple and there isn't anything much that can break on this. November 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice unit I bought this heater today and gave it a try it fires right up and works as it should. I am going to use it this winter when working in the garage on projects to keep warm. I had a much larger unit that ran on diesel (stunk) or kerosene (expensive $$$) it did have two things I liked though a fan switch and thermostat with auto on/off. I sold the old one and went a few years without one and realized how much I missed it in the winter little electric heaters just don't cut it, so I got this one and besides the fact I will have to unplug it to control temps for 99 bucks it fits the bill so I can't really complain, seems like a good unit. After the warranty is out I may install a fan switch which would be easy to do and only cost a few bucks, then again you loose the intrinsic safety of the unit unless you get an intrinsically safe switch so I don't know I may just leave it as is. Thats the only reason for 4 stars. November 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product I Work in construction and didn't think this was going to heat a house because of its size. But it is excellent. Heats up really fast and doesnt give off that smell like the big diesel ones do November 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great item to have I haven't the occasion to use this much yet as weather has been warm so I can't rate it better yet.. But it seems well made, a fair price. A couple mornings it was cool so I fired it up to see how it would go, amazed me, really put out the heat and distributed it a long way back my shed. November 3, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Haven't used it yet....It does run when plugged in.. Really.. I haven't used thisa item yet.. If it works well, I'll be the first to give it high marks.. Not real costly, but if it works well, worth every penny.. Kind of wish there was an off /on switch in place of just plug it in.. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect For Heating A Garage This is the second propane heaters by Dyna-Glo that I have had. The last one I had lasted for 3 years and was used almost everyday during the colder months in the mid-west. I used this propane heater to heat a 36'x18' detached building/garage that I own. I probably get anywhere from 12 to 16 hours out of a 20 lb. propane tank depending on how cold it is out and if I turn it up on high. The only con I would have is that ignitor stays clicking when the heater is running. November 19, 2014
