Can I use this inside my house

Asked by: Turtle
Yes, you can physically connect this heater, add fuel and turn it on inside the house.....BUT it's only safe to use this way if you provide adequate ventilation. Without proper venting you WILL asphyxiate yourself. The heat "plume" created by this unit will EASILY start a fire, so be careful.

Just bought this unit for an airplane hangar in Minnesota. I'm using diesel because that's available on field. I've noticed that this heater tends to 'spit/spray' diesel out the front while in use. Is this because the air pressure isn't set correctly? I have it set at 3.8.
Asked by: MNPilot
Hello MNPilot, That is the correct, suggested pressure for the 80K BTU unit but the relief valve is in place so that the user can find the ideal pressure the unit will run on in any environment. Some adjustments may solve your issue but if not some additional trouble shooting would be necessary and our Technical Support Team is happy to help! Bought this heater a few weeks ago for our workplace, which is a warehouse - roughly 1500 sq. ft., and 18 ft. high. Had doubts about buying this because pump kerosene is simply not available in the greater Los Angeles area. Then I discovered that these heaters will also run on diesel fuel (which is cheaper than gasoline out here). This heater CRANKS! It heats the warehouse workshop up to a very comfortable temperature in about 45 minutes, then cycles off (I have the thermostat set at about 50%). It cycles on and off. It's perfect. Will run on kerosene, diesel, Jet "A" or JP-5. Holds 5 gallons of fuel and according to the labels and gauges, it should run for 9 hours on a full tank. Must remember, though, that these heaters MUST be vented, or you'll kill yourself. Would HIGHLY recommend this product to a friend.
