Purchased this grill online in Feb 2014 after reading favorable reviews. Assembly was pretty straight forward, with only a few minor hiccups (screw holes in frame didn't exactly align). As an added bonus, the grill even included a nice, thick cover. The grill was kept on a covered patio with the grill cover on when not in use. The grill did a nice job of grilling any meats or veggies I put on there. Heating was fast and consistent, with the usual hot spots at the back of the grill. The heat tents did a decent job of preventing flare-up--at least initially. I'd hoped to get many years of dependable use from this investment, but regrettably that was not the case. By the third summer of use (2016) I noticed there was considerable rust within the grill box. The edges of the heat tents started to crumble away anytime I tried to brush off grease remnants. Flare-ups when grilling became more common-place, and I blame that on the rusted heat tents which didn't allow the grease to roll-off. The heat tents are held in place above the burners by 4 metal brackets which were also exceptionally rusted. To the point that I was leery of touching them for fear they might break. Which, by the winter of 2016, 2 of them did and then by early 2017 the grill was essentially useless due to the broken brackets. See photos. Yes, I used the cover when not in use, and I attempted to maintain this grill as much as possible by preheating and scraping away grease, emptying the grease catch and brushing away grease on the heat tents. But this grill is not built to last. Ironically the grates, burner/venturi tubes and igniter could easily last another 4+ years as they are sturdier and appear unaffected by the rust. But without those heat tents in place, this grill is essentially like cooking over a camp fire, which is not exactly how I like to cook a $12 t-bone. So I'm spending a bit more money and purchasing a grill with a heavier quality grill box that hopefully won't rust out after 3 years. Hopefully this review helps you in your research.

The heat tents and the cooking grates have fallen apart, and to replace those parts is way to expensive. I keep my stuff clean and well maintained; covered with a grill cover and under a roof covered porch. I am disappointed that these parts have deteriorated so quickly.

It always had its cover during the rainy season (we live in CA) and we took very good care of it. However, the 2 flame covers are completely collapsed because of rust. But the worse part is that one of the metal plates that supports the heat tents it effectively disintegrated because of rust, and the heat tent, even if I get a new one, falls on the flame. I would say that for $350 it should last much longer. I'll upload images.

This is a review of the assembly process, not the actual product in usage. It's fairly easy to put together but took more time than expected. If you have the option to have it assembled a the store I'd recommend that to save time, especially if you are hungry! The directions are straightforward and clear in nearly every aspect except with regard to adding the back panel and the side panels. The parts are not labeled and the sample photos do not clearly show that there is a cut out in the back panel so it's not obvious that it's the right part to be added. I've included a photo of the placement of the panels that will make it more clear for you. As one reviewer noted the knobs are low quality. One of mine was scuffed and looked used. It's nice that it comes with a well made cover. I got the grill on sale (and had a simple price match that saved another $10) a few weeks ago and I am pleased with it so far. The size and quality was as expected based on other reviewers comments. One final note: it was very heavy to lift the major portion of the grill out of the box. There are a number of parts stored inside of the lid so you can remove those to lighten the load before you begin lifting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was great to start...but.....didn't last This was a great grill to start. Put out great heat (but was hotter in the back than front even with cover down). But even after only two years of light use it started rusting out internally. First to go were the heat shields, then the connectors where the grills rested. The burners themselves have held up well, but I had to screw in stainless screws to hold up the grills. Can't replace the heat shields as there is nothing to hold them up. Their attachment points completely rusted away. Now the outside stainless is starting to rust badly. This grill is always under cover and cleaned regularly. Unless it has changed in the last couple of years, it is made of inferior steel and "under-engineered" internally. Too bad. I really liked it to start.

The instructions are OK but sometimes take a little head scratching as the pictures vary somewhat from the product. The grill is rather flimsy in places. Grill started right up and puts out plenty of heat. The thermometer was broken in the box, apparently during packing/shipping as there are several parts loose inside the grill cover. After registering the grill, I requested a replacement on-line and received it in just a few days. Grill comes with a very nice cover. Only time will tell if the grill holds up well.

Very disappointed in condition of parts inside the box. several of the parts were bent. there was no outside damage of the box they arrived in. Received package on a Friday afternoon. When I called number listed, on assembly instructions, they were closed till Monday. Since I needed grill over the weekend, straightened out parts as best I could and assembled. Works fine. They need to improve either the packaging or have better quality control so parts that are damaged are not included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for us I have owned a larger grill for years, but it was time to downsize. After a lot of research I chose the Dyna-Glo smart space. We are very pleased with the size, construction and price. It arrived unassembled, but I as able to get it all put together In a few hours. It has lived up to its advertising and I hope will give me many years of service. The free cover it came with is very well made and should last for years.
