Product Overview

The DC39 Multi floor canister vacuum is engineered with Dyson cyclones that capture more dirt than any other. Featuring Dyson’s Radial Root Cyclone technology, reconfigured air channels reduce turbulence and preserve air pressure, so the inner cyclones can extract more microscopic particles and expel cleaner air. Suitable for all floor types, the DC39’s Triggerhead tool is the only turbine head controlled at the handle, so there is no bending down to adjust. A fingertip control switches the brush bar off for delicate rugs and hard floors and switches on for high pick-up on carpets. Combined with Dyson Ball technology, the DC39 turns on a dime to give you greater control and easily moves around obstacles. The clear bin allows you to see when it’s full and empties at the push of a button, minimizing contact with dirt and allergens. DC39 Multi floor has a non-removable HEPA filter and carries a 5 year warranty, parts and labor guaranteed by Dyson. And as with all Dyson vacuum cleaners, DC39 Multi floor has no loss of suction.

  • No bag, no loss of suction, no awkward moves
  • Bonus attachments: soft dusting brush, flexi crevice tool
  • For every floor type, carpet, tile, vinyl, wood

Great on wood floors, not so great on carpet if it's high pile. Low pile would probably be fine.

Yes, that is what I like about it. I have hardwood floors with rugs. It easily transitions between the two. I have carpeting in bedrooms. Cleaned carpeting better than any vacuum ever. I was surprised at the amount of dirt pulled out.

Hi Laurba, since the dc39 has strong suction, it works great in both bare floor and carpet. I have 2 huskies and one golden retriever. So their hair is everywhere until i got the dc39. Perhaps, you may consider to purchase an additional tangle-fee turbine tool. Hope it helps. Have a great day.

DC39 Total Clean Vacuum with Bonus Attachments is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 69.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from DC39 Total Clean Vacuum with Attachments We have had SO many vacuums over the years - Hoover, Kirby, Shark, to name very few of them - and this one beats them all. There are, of course, things I would change, i.e., although only 5'3", still have to stoop a little with the handle being so short (why) and, although it lays flat to get under most things, the short handle prevents it from going far under things. The suction is better than others, the ease of use is great, it is light weight enough to not dread getting it out, it is extremely easy to empty, and the attachments work like a dream and are easy to exchange. I avoided Dyson in the past because of the price and felt that, like Kirby, it was mostly hype. But that is not so here so far. Have only had it a few months, but with three dogs and a cat, can say it works very well indeed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. What an improvement. The flexibility is amazing! You can get spots unattainable by other vacuums. Best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. What an improvement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from handy vaccum cleaner I found this product to work well and its light and easy to transport. However the main attachment used for vaccuming has a rotating brush that clogs with hair and stops rotating. It is not easily cleaned when this happens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great vacuum for hard floors I bought this vacuum to use on my hard floors to keep the dog hair under control. Using the wand on my upright vacuum to get hair out of the corners was such a hassel. Since I got this vacuum my Swiffer hasn't been used. It's easy to pull around the house and get under all the furniture. I use the attachments to vacuum the furniture and dust. The only down side is that when you get enough dog hair in the canister it stops swirling around and I feel like I need to empty it too frequently. I'm not sure it really needs to be emptied at that point, but the hair just gets more and more packed in there if you don't empty. Then the handy easy open canister isn't so handy when you have to reach in and pull out a clump of hair. I have a high pile carpet that I don't even bother trying to vacuum with this because it doesnt do anything. I wish for the price it was more versatile and could do all my vacuuming, but it does a good job with what i got it for (hard floors). Otherwise, love the vacuum for hard floors, love the attachments and love the self-coiling cord.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good vacuum I have used my Dyson for about a month. I find that is cleans very well on hard surfaces, and only fairly well on throw rugs. I don't think I would use this particular vacuum on wall to wall carpet. But on hard floors (ceramic tiles and hard wood) it does a good job. I like that I don't have to buy bags. I also like the attachments are easily accessible on the machine. I really like that I do not have to change to a carpet attachment on my rugs. I just press the button and the beater bar starts turning. I wish the electrical cord was longer.
Date published: 2015-08-13
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not happy I have not been happy with my Dyson vacuum! First of all, the directions for putting it together with only pictures has confounded me since the beginning. I find it very difficult to open the waste container and put it back together. Now the button for opening that container is stuck and I can not push it. I have found it difficult to maneuver and I just recently put in new low-pile carpeting and it doesn't work on that at all. It looks like I will have to get rid of it and get a different machine.
Date published: 2015-12-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from The product has great suction power. Best suction power of any vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. I like the fact that when vacuuming throw rugs it does not eat up the end of the rug!! I can even vacuum my bathroom rugs and not have to take them outside to shake. It is made of plastic so I am concerned about the longevity of the product given its cost. Vacuum was delivered very quickly. Within 3 days. I am very happy with my purchase. Vacuuming takes less time because I don't have to vacuum over the same spots. Makes me happy!!
