I have two Dyson's that are 5 years old and they are excellent. The best ever. BUT the new animal complete is a total let-down. It's feels cheap, made with more and thinner plastic, the roller wheels make it very hard to maneuver, and I'm not convinced it picks up my Golden Retriever's hair any better than my older Dysons. Why did Dyson do this. I feel betrayed as a loyal customer. I'm waiting for it to break and I've had it only for a month. You're better off to stay with the conventional Dysons but I don't know if they are making those cheaper now.

New carpet deserves a new vacuum and the Dyson Animal is everything it is said to be. The price was the best in this area and it shipped immediately.

Our family (3 humans, 2 cats, 2 dogs) had a Dyson DC14 for a few years and loved it. We decided that some of the features of the DC41 we something we wanted to try so we decided to retire the old one, and get the new one. We have been very happy. The ball takes a little getting used to, but does maneuver very easily. The improved hard service use is a great benefit to us, as it has eliminated some of the sweeping we used to have to do. The attachment hose is longer which is nice for stairs. The additional attachments in this model make cleaning ceiling fans, drapes, and blinds quick and easy. We highly recommend this machine.

I love my Animal Complete vacuum. It have owned it for three years and have not had a problem with it. It picks up dirt, kitty litter, hair, and anything else you can find hanging out on your floor. The especially like the bagless feature and the washable filter. You do need to keep on your maintenance of the machine to help it run efficiently. For example, remove the roller and remove any hair wound around it, clean filters, etc. This could be a bit tiresome for you but it is definitely need to keep everything in working order.

I have to say I hated this vacuum after a year it was not sucking at all, I gave a bad review and contacted Dyson. I am so impressed they had me send my vacuum in to fix it, when I got it back it still was not working well, I let them know and they made it right. I am very impressed that they checked back with me and made sure I have a vacuum that works. Thank you customer service

I am a professional cleaner, and this vac replaced the DC 14 model. They made this cheaper, and doubled the price? It paid for itself in a few days, so the money is not the issue. The cord is constantly in the way. The wand pulls the vac into you, and half the time the vac falls down into my back. It doesn't like to stand upright. I rely on speed and efficiency. This vac just slows me down because it is not user friendly. I thought the DC 14 was plastic junk, but this model is the ultimate piece of plastic junk. The handle will break soon for sure. You can't possibly make a vac that is cheaper than this in construction. I just can't believe that this is on the market!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LittleLion This is our second Dyson vacuum and we love it.
We have been very pleased with all of the Dyson products we have purchased. This is our second Dyson vacuum cleaner and it is wonderful. I really like the rollerball technology - it makes it so easy to maneuver the vacuum cleaner around furniture. The only two gripes I have are small... one of the onboard attachments pops off very easily. Also, when transporting the vacuum cleaner when it is not in use, I am used to tilting the unit back and rolling on the back two wheels. Doing that with this machine doesn't work too well since it causes the handle to release... this just means that the front roller is moving on the carpet when the machine is not turned on. I'll get used to it.
