Customer Questions & Answers

how much pull out load can these anchors take?

Asked by: AYUSH
EZ Anchors offers various load carrying capacities as noted on the package. But read the package and read my one star review. Loads are calculated with the stress loading in shear. That is, the load is hanging straight down directly below the anchor. Loads that don't "hug" the walls are placing more load on the anchor.. Drywall made in the USA is a strength consistent Gypsum product with a relatively predictable density and strength. This is not so with Chinese drywall. Drywall that has gotten wet and dried is no longer as strong as when new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best wall anchors on the market today. When my wife came home with about 15 picture frames for me to hang, I wanted to find th3 closest bridge. I always hated hanging pictures because the sticky hooks never work, and the other wall anchors are just a pain to put in. I can honestly say that these anchors changed all of that for me. All I did was use a 5/32 drill bit for a starter hike, then used my impact drill to drive these babies in. The sink into the drywall so easy, and bite hard, so no worries about them coming out. I also have the the larger 75lbs anchors that I used to hang shelving in the garage, and they will easily hold over 250lbs. These are so simple to use, and make hanging pictures and/or anything else so simple! I 100% recommend these anchors to anyone and everyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and Easy to Use Need some of these when my wife asked if I could hang somethings around the house. I measured everything out with tape and level to get things centered. The tip on the anchor has a nice tip that makes it very easy to put on the exact spot I marked. Easy to screw into the dry wall and even easier to get the screw into the anchor. At 50 lb each these will be my go to in the future for anything I hang that doesn't need more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My wife wanted her Laundry Room renovated, and she favored the appearance of the Closetmaid Shelf... My wife wanted her Laundry Room renovated, and she favored the appearance of the Closetmaid Shelftrack System. We purchased it from Home Depot, and it's excellent! When reading about the installation, I saw that the vertical slotted hanging rods needed to be secured once installed with the shelving in order to keep them from moving or being pulled away from the wall. The E-Z Ancor was the best solution! It was simple to screw the plastic inserts into the drywall using the holes of the hanging rods to properly locate the right spot, then the screws were simply inserted through the holes into the inserts to secure the rods. Worked perfectly! A nice consideration is that you can reverse the process to remove the screws and the inserts, then close each hole with spackle and paint when the Shelftrack System needs to be moved or removed. Oh, we did spray paint the screws white to match the white Shelftrack system. Looks great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multi purpose anchor My husband and i favorite drywall screw and anchor combination. You dont need to tap these into the wall, they screw right in with any Phillips screw driver. They don't break easily like some cheaper screws that come with some products you buy. We use them for everything around the house. Shelves, closets, bookcases, storage cabinets, poster frames, bathroom hooks, closet hooks, etc. We love them. Just bought another super pack of them

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! Completed an entire basement remodel and then these ruined my wall. Followed the instru... Terrible! Completed an entire basement remodel and then these ruined my wall. Followed the instructions EXACTLY...also confirmed by watching the youtube video. They broke off half way into the drywall leaving me with half an anchor that wouldn't screw flush and the other half stuck in the back of my drywall. Have used multiple hanging methods before without any problems. Maybe I got a defective batch but they were useless and left me with huge holes to fill in my pristine walls! Never again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I will longer hide on move-in day We have moved more than the average bears over the years and I always dreaded hanging curtains, tapestries, etc., in the new house - dragging out the drill, fumbling with the tiny plastic flimsy anchors, etc. We have been in this house for 11 years (a record!) and after painting some rooms my wife asked me to hang a tapestry. I dreaded the job and avoided doing it, much to the aggravation of my bride. In trying to determine why I was being such a jerk about it, I realized it is because I have never been totally happy with the way other "hangings" have turned out. Nonetheless, I headed to the garage and collected the drill, drill bits, four matching anchors, tape measure and level. My eyes drifted to the box of E-Z Anchors that I had purchased a year or so ago and I grabbed them and returned the drill et al to the mass confusion of my tool box. I was able to concentrate on getting the tapestry rod level vs fighting the drill cord and plastic anchors. In short, great stuff and I'll be using these whenever possible. Not sure if they would work around a window frame due to the footpriont of the anchor. I give it 4/5 on "Value" because I don't remember how much they cost, but they were worth it today.
