I have never used anchors before, and following the instructions (as well as a Utube video) I got it right the first time.
I did read the negative reviews before buying the product, and while they made me cautious, it wasn't enough to scare me off.
I did make a guide hole for the anchors using just a regular screw.

These anchors are great for those who do not have a drill. They just screw right in with some moderate pressure on the screwdriver. They do leave a large hole and cannot be reused, so make sure you get the location right from the onset.

Mine snapped in half while I was installing it. Now I have to figure out how to extract the shards of plastic so I can patch the damage.

Used it to mount a guitar wall hanger, and it holds my Explorer with no problems.

Had been having problems with items coming off the wall. The last time it fell off the wall I decided to get these anchors, it hasn't fell since I used the screw anchors.

I generally chase this product in larger packages to keep extras on hand. When mounting objects like toilet paper dispensers, towel bars, closet shelving and other potentially heavy objects on drywall, I usually cast out the hardware supplied and use this product instead. I find that is a good idea to drill a small hole in the drywall before attempting to screw these anchors into the wall. That affords the opportunity to find wall studs that will not accept these plastic anchors. When I hit studs, I simply use larger screws that I screw into the studding instead of making use of the TWIST-N-LOCK product. I have yet to have a failure when using this product.

The premise of these anchors is that you can screw the plastic anchor sleeve into the drywall with out pre-drilling. It's supposed to be able to drill itself into the drywall. Unfortunately on 2 separate attempts the sleeves cracked halfway into the wall. The sleeves aren't sturdy enough; they get partway into the wall, then bind up and shear off as you turn them with the screwdriver.
You're left an unusable half anchor wedged in the wall which can't be extracted, and messed-up wall surface.
Maybe it works better if you pre-drill a pilot hole, but the instructions specifically state not to pre-drill.
This product is garbage and should be taken off the shelves.

You cannot possibly ask for an easier installation. A 6 year old could install these anchors and screws. I appreciated the fact that they hold up to 75 lbs. I used them on floating shelves behind my bar and placed several bottles of liquor on them with confidence. (However, I did double them up using two)
