Customer Reviews

Rated 2.9 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Anchors break attempting to install The premise of these anchors is that you can screw the plastic anchor sleeve into the drywall with out pre-drilling. It's supposed to be able to drill itself into the drywall. Unfortunately on 2 separate attempts the sleeves cracked halfway into the wall. The sleeves aren't sturdy enough; they get partway into the wall, then bind up and shear off as you turn them with the screwdriver. You're left an unusable half anchor wedged in the wall which can't be extracted, and messed-up wall surface. Maybe it works better if you pre-drill a pilot hole, but the instructions specifically state not to pre-drill. This product is garbage and should be taken off the shelves. January 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed I never used anchors before because I always preferred the simplicity (aka being lazy) of only using screws, plus I never really had any issues in the past. But when it came to some shelves I had put up in the closet, I started noticing that they were becoming loose. I guess you could say I "screwed" up. After trying to use some basic anchors to tap into the holes where the screws came out of, I found myself struggling to get them to hold and ended up making larger holes in the wall. When I saw these I remembered a video I had seen where these seemed to be a very good solution and it turned out that they were exactly what I needed. I know from some other reviews that people say they break easily but they were perfect for me. I already had "pilot" holes because of the cheap anchors I had used before, so i do not know how these would have held up had I not had any starting holes, but it doesn't cost much to make a hole, especially just using a screw driver instead of a drill and twisting side to side until a hole forms. My guess is the previous people probably hit a stud and broke the plastic that way. If you have a stud you do not need these, you can just screw directly into the wood. In short, these were amazing. They covered the holes I was trying to cover and are holding on very strong. I immediately felt the strength that these have with the selves and the weight that they're supporting. April 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best screw anchor system out there! It doesn't take half a brain to figure out how to use these. You can twist these straight into the desired area on the way, you can drill a pilot hole or you can do what I did which is twists them into the existing hole where the traditional anchors had failed and broke. These Twist-N-Locks are awesome, you turn them in with a screw driver --what an awesome idea! Then, when the reach the open are behind the wall you can hear them pop...now you know they're anchored. Of course you don't have to drive them in until they pop and they'll still work well. These are honestly the best anchors I've used! October 22, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely terrible product. Flimsy, fragile, and unusable. These are the worst wall anchors I have ever encountered. They crack halfway in, with or without a pilot hole, and you have to either punch the broken piece lodged in the wall through, or mess up the wall further by extracting it. They were also the only wall anchors available in the store, so I had to go to the blue box to get anchors that could actually be used. Total waste of money, worse than useless. You are effectively paying $5+ for 20 #8 screws. Don't buy, but if you already have, throw the plastic anchors away. They are garbage. September 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Absolute garbage These nails are completely useless. The plastic anchors break before you even get a chance to screw in the nails. In the end, all it leaves is a bi gaping hole in your wall and nothing else. Avoid at all cost. January 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good The negative reviews are weak so I thought I'd chime in. Yes if you're installing something on the wall you should know what you are doing, thats a given. It has nothing to do with the performance of the product. Minus one star because they will often break if you do not pre drill even though they appear to be self drilling. Install with a screw driver not with a drill. Four stars because I have had really great luck with these in walls and ceilings. They are much stronger in drywall than any of the plastic inserts I've used. December 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE these anchors! I have used these anchors to install two wall-mounted closet organization systems (with shelves, drawers and hanging rods with 9 feet of clothing hanging on them), as well as wall-mounted medicine cabinets, etc., and I have NEVER had one fail once installed. I can't even recall having one break. The ease of use is amazing! Just insert screwdriver into white piece and slowly but firmly screw it into the wall, hold item in place and screw in the screw. It could not possibly be easier. January 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As Good as Plastic Drywall Anchors Get! I have installed several of these into 3/8" with an impact driver (no pilot) and have had no issues as of yet. I have even hung a 19" LCD computer monitor and all seems well with the design and holding power. They are a little soft as they are boring the hole but I haven't had an issue with breakage or excessive wear on 3/8" material. They sink well, flush with the wallboard and give a positive stop, all while holding center better than other styles I've used. February 1, 2014
