Customer Reviews

60 in. PRO Folding Series Black Pick Up Tool is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not that good I bought this to help me straighten out a pool cover which would usually have some folds in it after putting it on. I thought I could use this to grab the edge of the pool cover and unfold the edges that may have been folded underneath and pull them out so that the cover would lay flat on the water. Unfortunately it does not accomplish this purpose very well. 1. You need really strong wrists in order to manipulate a pole of this length. Both arms are needed in most cases, but that only makes things slightly better. 2. A pool cover is probably too thin for this to grip securely. It kept slipping out after I had squeezed the trigger to grip it all the way.I had to twist the handle to try and roll the cover around the pole. The description says it can hold an 8 pound brick. I never tried this, but I imagine you would need both arms to carry it. 3 The trigger mechanism cannot be easily manipulated with just one hand. In order to completely lock the grip, you have to depress the trigger completely. If you have larger hands, this could be difficult to do with just one hand because your fingers are too long to depress the trigger down to the rod. In order to release the grip, you need to slide a switch on the rod which you might be able to do with the same hand that is holding the gripper, but it would require above average dexterity. On the positive side, it folds in half.
