The PPT-266H pole pruner is very sturdy and easy to use. It has excellent reach at just over 12ft and with the option of a 4ft extension gives it even more versatility.
I had a smaller homeowner split shaft pole pruner from a different company which just couldn't quite handle the usage (gears wore out) and even though that one was half the size it wasn't as easy to balance as the echo is. I will say the echo is a little weighty but not unreasonable.
So far the only thing I would ask echo to change is the switch it really would be nice to have one that resets instead of sliding on and off but that obviously isn't a deal breaker on this nice saw.

I own several Echo products and have been very happy with all of them and the ppt 266 h is no exception it is easy to extend easy to start and plenty of power and the trimmer style handle make horizontal cuts much easier I have not put a lot of hours on this saw but so far so good and past experience says it will give years of excellent service

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Iggie Works great but heavy
I got this for trimming limbs growing out over lawn and fields. Assembly instructions were not very good, so it took a bit longer to put together than it should have. Once together it starts easily and cuts great. The main problem is that it is very heavy and will wear you out in just a few minutes of use, especially if it's fully extended, and the strap isn't helpful at all. On the other hand, 5 minutes of cutting will require 35 minutes of dragging brush, so you can "rest" in between cutting sessions. Haven't had to replace the chain yet, but I suspect it may be difficult to find when I do. I probably should order one online to have on hand when I need it. Bottom line is that this tool will definitely get the job done.

Everything about this product is "5 Star" except the shoulder strap. Other than that it's a great machine. But the shoulder strap stinks.

this is a high quality pole saw, the harness system isn't worth a flip, not useful at all. the machine is very heavy with full extension and the way that so called harness attach's isn't any help at all. i am not a spring chicken anymore and it will wear you out pretty fast. overall the saw is execellent but engineering on the harness needs some serious help. it would help if attachment area was a little farther away from the power head.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by gatorboy Good overall value, although a bit pricey. Get the model with straight handle throttle.
Overall this a good machine but it gets pretty heavy after an hour or so. You have to use the shoulder strap for any extended use. I wish I had gotten the model with the throttle on the straight shaft (PPT-266B), not the ergonometric. It is often difficult to press the safety handle, then throttle when stretching for a cut. All Echo products I've used are quality machines, but you pay the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Juice This is an excellent product
This is my second Echo Pruner Saw. and just like the first one. it is an excellent cutting saw. My first one I've had for over ten years and still is an excellent performer. It was just a very short saw. I needed a bigger and longer saw. This Pruner has not disappointed me. Makes pruning an easy job.

Be prepared to assemble it. Not to hard but I thought for sure it would come put together like you see at your local lawn mower shops.
