I bought this pruner to cut back brush on my property, Mainly invasive autumn olive and c allay pear that grew from old nursery stock roots. It works great to reach undr both and cut them off without crawling under them with a regular saw. Sturdy build, plenty of power, and it starts easily.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Iggie Works great but heavy
I got this for trimming limbs growing out over lawn and fields. Assembly instructions were not very good, so it took a bit longer to put together than it should have. Once together it starts easily and cuts great. The main problem is that it is very heavy and will wear you out in just a few minutes of use, especially if it's fully extended, and the strap isn't helpful at all. On the other hand, 5 minutes of cutting will require 35 minutes of dragging brush, so you can "rest" in between cutting sessions. Haven't had to replace the chain yet, but I suspect it may be difficult to find when I do. I probably should order one online to have on hand when I need it. Bottom line is that this tool will definitely get the job done.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paul More than does the job
Experience has taught me that a residential-grade power tool will last 3 to 5 years. Checking internet reviews, and combined experience with an Echo leaf blower, this was the choice.
It's also a great way to exercise upper body--about 20 minutes of trimming leads to exhaustion, followed by an hour of cleanup,

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by gatorboy Good overall value, although a bit pricey. Get the model with straight handle throttle.
Overall this a good machine but it gets pretty heavy after an hour or so. You have to use the shoulder strap for any extended use. I wish I had gotten the model with the throttle on the straight shaft (PPT-266B), not the ergonometric. It is often difficult to press the safety handle, then throttle when stretching for a cut. All Echo products I've used are quality machines, but you pay the price.

Be prepared to assemble it. Not to hard but I thought for sure it would come put together like you see at your local lawn mower shops.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GeorgeM Great saw!
This is a very well built saw that I expect to get a lot of use from. Very easy to control and has more than enough power to quickly cut through large oak limbs. I did my my research on power pole saws and I feel I made the right choice for a PPT-266.
