Answer:
Sure, I don't see why it could not be left on the charger. Just try to run battery completely dead prior to placing back on the charger.

Yes. The charger is "smart" and won't force feed the battery or otherwise cause damage if left.

Hello Bear, you can leave the battery in the charger in turn that will keep a charge on the battery and go into a power saver mode. Hope that helps!

Why does blower come with 2ah battery instead of the 4ah battery?

The 58v mower and 58v string trimmer come with 4ah batteries. Of the three tools, the blower is the real energy hog according to specs and user reviews. So why is the blower sold with a weaker battery. I realize you can get the blower without the battery and charger, but to buy the 4ah battery by itself is 169.00, not to mention the charger cost. Way more economical to buy the tools with the battery and charger included. So why the 2ah battery included with the blower instead of the 4ah battery?

I asked the same question. But since I purchased the string trimmer, the chainsaw and the lawnmower, I already have 3 of the 4.0 batteries.
This blower is incredible with the 4.0 and ok with the 2.0.

Answer:
Yes, but the 4.0 AMP battery fits it and the charger is included. I highly recommend using the 4.0 AMP battery as you get a lot more time and power.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 68 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great piece of equipment No pull start-- no unhandy extension cords -- easy to handle -- sufficient air even though a little less than a gas engine model-- but overcomes those issues with portability and convenience September 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Life is easier with this blower Before buying this, I purchased the 58V String Trimmer about a year ago and loved it so much that I purchased the 58V chainsaw. I had held off purchasing the leaf blower as the battery looked as if it was smaller and not interchangeable with the one in the chainsaw and trimmer. I WAS WRONG. The 58V batteries are ALL interchangeable, the one in the leaf blower has fewer amps. The blower works pretty well BUT if you use the 4.0 amp battery from the trimmer, it works GREAT!!! I love being able to blow off my 250' driveway without using a cord! I also love that storage is great because unlike my corded blower, I don't mess with a cord. August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love these Echo Products / Powerful blower with easy maintenance I have owned a gas-powered Echo blower and chainsaw that have given me years of very reliable use. My wife wanted to switch to the battery powered tools because of the ease of use and maintenance. We have not been disappointed. This blower is fantastic: it works as effectively as our gas-powered model with less noise and no worries about gas-mixture fuels. The battery system is easy and is fully charged in about half an hour. I use my blower several times per week to clear off the patio and driveway, about 10 minutes of use each time. I have found that I only have to rechange the battery about every 3 weeks. Honestly, this is a remarkably convenient blower that works well for household use. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good convenient blower I purchased this blower after purchasing the 58 volt ECHO weed eater last year. I started to hate dealing with gas and dragging cords around my yard. After having the weed eater for a year I felt confident the blower would be a good purchase. It works well and is so convenient if you manage the battery charging. I try to keep my chargers and batteries in my house and put the battery on the charger before I go outside to cut the grass. It charges pretty quick ~15 min or so and lasts plenty long enough to blow my drive way, front walkway and back porch. The batteries are interchangeable between the weed eater and blower with the only differences are the color and the weed eater is 4amphr and the blower is 2amphr. I have not been able to drain the 4amphr one yet so sometimes I don't even charge the 2amphr and just use the 4amphr to weed eat and blow. One down side is its a little heavy with the battery but not really that bad. The main downside is I went from a gas powered to corded electric to this battery powered and each change was a step down in air movement so it is noticeably weaker than a gas powered blower. With that said it still performs good enough. I just have to be maybe a step or two closer to what I'm blowing than before. That's okay with me because I don't have to deal with gas or extension cords. I like it and would buy it again in a heartbeat. August 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Electrical Leaf Blower This is a very good product and I would buy it again. August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Weak blower motor The blower appeared to be constructed well but had very poor power for it's size. Very heavy also! July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great leaf blower. It is powerful and doesn't require a cord or gas. It is very helpful and easy to use. August 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works good As long as you have reasonable expectations as far as battery life is concerned this blower is extremely convenient and has quite a bit of power about the same as smaller gas powered ones. Works great for cleanup around the house after mowing and also works great to clean up the garage it beats sweeping all the dust and dirt plus you dont have to worry about fumes in enclosed spaces. That being said if you use full speed the 2ah battery drains pretty quick but you would be surprised how good it works on lower speeds. You could also do what I do and get the electric trimmer and use that battery instead as its a 4ah battery and charges quickly. Overall for small jobs this thing is great for larger jobs you will want to invest in the 4ah battery. May 24, 2016
