Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Lightweight Saw!!! This is a great little saw! We had a major ice storm and I had many downed trees. I bought this mainly because I don't plan on becoming a "lumberjack" so a 14" blade was plenty big enough to get the job done. A 14" will handle a tree 28" thick, and I don't have those. I'm an 62 yr old woman, and I had no problems starting or handling the saw at all. It worked all afternoon and never had a single problem with it! Great saw!! I only wish it had come with a covering for the bar & chain. I worry about someone brushing up against it and cutting themselves or it falling off the shelf and ruining the bar. May 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Saw!!!!!! Would never know it only has a 30.5cc engine. Cuts through wood like a hot knife through butter. Love this saw. Put on a 16" Oregon bar and chain for larger diameter trees and works great. Easily felled and cut up a 18" diamater maple tree. Over three months have owned, probably used 30-40 hours and cut down/up 30-40 trees. The saw never fails to start quickly, idles smoothly, and clearly is built with quality. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SAW. BTW, grew up on 2.5 acres and used a Stihl 032 with my Dad as a kid. This thing holds its own with the "big" saws. Prior to buying this saw, bought a refurbished Husqvarna 445 and it was a complete piece of junk. Worked a couple of hours and then died. Despite much larger engine, give the edge to Echo on cutting speed (not to mention reliability and price!) February 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I bought this to clear some land for a fence its great We are having a privacy fence put up and needed to do some clearing and cut up a fallen tree. when I got it right out of the box it was fully assembled except for the kickback nose gaurd which I did not use since we were cutting up a 24 inch thick tree. this is an awesome little saw with the power of a larger saw starts on 3rd pull when cold and first when warm. I would recommend this saw to any professional or diyer. i own a small lawncare and plan to use it with my business. overall I love it. April 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works very well I needed a homeowner chainsaw. I swore off 2-cycle power equipment a long time ago (I even have a Honda 4-cycle string trimmer), so I first tried the Ryobi electric. Not good. The last chainsaw I owned was a Stihl, 15 years ago when I did a lot of chainsaw work. I could not justify the cost. This Echo is every bit as good as that Stihl. The quick start instructions said to choke, then pull up to 5 times, then unchoke and pull up to 5 times to start. 2 pulls under choke and it was ready. 1 pull and started. Works very well. You can tell it's running, but quieter than most. Fumes aren't bad either, I didn't smell like a refinery after using it for a couple of hours. Highly recommended. October 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What a sweet saw! I bought this saw because I am 77 years old and have had about 12 hours of spine surgery in the past year and I needed a light saw. I have 2 stihls and 2 huskys and just can't handle the weight now. This is a light saw and when I pulled the start rope, I couldn't believe it. No resistance to speak of. I can just pull it with my arm. And It started on the 2nd pull. I was so tickled I attacked a 24" white oak and cut that sucker down in about 15 minutes. (yes, that is 24", as in 2 feet, at the butt). With a sharp chain,. this little rascal doesn't KNOW how small it is. So keep the chain sharp and it will be happy and cut like a demon. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sept. 1, 2014 purchase Just purchased 2 days ago. Followed the QuickStart instructions, then used the saw ALL DAY to drop dead standing Lodgepole Pine trees. Then cut all those to one foot pieces. Mostly 10-12" diameter trees. Started and worked PERFECTLY. No Leaks. It uses about twice as much Bar Oil as the gas mixture, so you want to keep an eye on the bar Oil levels when in use. September 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great little saw!!!!!! Starts right up ,Then I let warm up a little as all my equipment . This saw goes to work no problem , if I shut it off to move limbs. It starts right back up. NOT MY HUSQVARNA 235e. I use this saw for smaller trees and larger trees till I get to the bigger stuff. I have a husqvarna 455 rancher for large trees and its great but to aggressive on small stuff "not safe". I've used this saw 4-5 times this month NO Problems . I have a wood stove for my main heat in Pennsylvania so I do go thru quite a bit of wood. I also have a string trimmer and had no problems one or two pulls and its running. April 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lightweight and Easy to Use I bought this chainsaw to use while climbing. It was light enough to climb with no problem, and to use with my arms being more constricted at times, also while fully extended. On my first use, I sawed for about 4 hours with only having to clear 1 jam. I did have to adjust the chain twice, but that was only after getting the bar stuck and pulling it out of whack.
