I have had this particular machine for 2 years. It has been great. I am woman of 58 yrs. while I do have to have my son start it for me when it is cold. I can restart with out assistance which is important to me. It has held up well under farm conditions. Cutting trees for firewood, or just removing rotted trees.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by GaryL Excellent quality, Light weight
I have seen many landscapers use Echo equipment and I figured that they needed something that was reliable and long lasting. I have another well known chain saw that is about the same size but much heavier. I have cut many heavy logs, the chain is very sharp, and the engine has a lot of power.

Great little chain saw. Better quality than previous brand that gave out after 2 years. Easy start is the
best feature. Best purchase this year for my general yard clean up.

This chainsaw is great! I am a 28 year old male who purchased a house about 7 months ago (first house) I recently had a decent sized tree cut down ( i did not cut it down with this .. I left that to the professionals) I am responsible now for taking care of the firewood he left. I started it up today for the first time put the gas oil mixture in (which is the same as my echo weed wacker) and it started on the very first pull! what i really like about this chainsaw is that its very easy to control. There is a lot about kickback which you always have to be careful of in the manual, but this guy is powerful enough to get through the tough stuff and cuts great! It is super easy to manuver and handle. Its not heavy at all or intimidating for a first time user. Its great for cutting down smaller trees and bushes and any fallen limbs etc. because of the blade length you cant cut anything too big ( obviously) but for regular use even on a ladder, not above your head of coarse its really easy to use. I love the echo products so far and have two of them they are great easy to use and I would reccomend them to any home owner. The price and quality is just as good as leading competitors. My father has a chainsaw that was three times the price, its a name brand and its heavy and doesnt start well. This is perfect for someone whos not cutting down a forest and doing work around the yard or cutting up firewood etc.
