Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dman It's nice when something isn't junk and this saw isn't
I bought this today and very easily cut up a 25 ' tree about 12" in diameter in no time. It took me about 8 pulls to get it started but after that one pull is all it took. I don't know about the longevity of the product but this company certainly has a good reputation and it's built in the USA so I'm hoping to have it for a long time. The brake lever and the housing seem a little cheap, I'm careful with my stuff but it should be noted. Oh and it's nice and lightweight too. Good purchase

This Echo saw is unreal for the size and weight. The power to weight ratio is amazing. Cutting small branches like butter, This saw thinks it is a Big Boy. Starts right up, Idles perfect, Really great on gas. Automatic oiler works like a charm, Just fill the tank and forget about it.
I am Disabled and handicapped due to many spine surgeries, But even i can handle this Echo.
Could not be happier with my Echo products, Oh yea-- I also have the SRM-225 Weed trimmer--That is wonderful also.
P.S. Went to the John Deere/Stihl dealer, They would not sell me a Stihl with a 14" Bar???
I did not want a long heavy cutting bar. Thank you ECHO for a GREAT Product.

I have been using this saw for months and no trouble with it. I cut down a tree maybe to big for the saw with no problems. Make you let the saw work for you. Never force the saw . Make sure the chain is allways sharp. If the chain is not sharp the saw will work to hard and you will have problems.

Needed a small saw so I could climb a pine tree to cut the top and limbs off . Expecting to use a husky 20 inch saw to drop the rest and block it up. Decided to keep using the Echo for the entire job because it was so light and cut with no problem. 22 inch diameter tree cut easily but you cant force the saw.No issues with chain loosening. Started very easy with no priming or choke after initial startup. If you have an issue with the saw take it back, there is a warranty. Why would some of these reviewers think they can "fix" a new saw and then call it junk? Maybe they do more harm than good.

I bought a 16" Poulan and took it back immediately - it wouldn't stay running. Total JUNK. Spent more for the Echo with smaller bar and glad I did. Cut 1/2 a felled Oak tree in 1bout 1.5 hours. Only quit because I got tired. FWIW - The Oak is 20-26" across and this saw did the job. Started up quick and easy. Very light. Take my advice and spend the extra for an Echo. Can't speak to durability but my initial impression is one of high quality.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Zokker11 provides adequate cutting force for medium size trees, maybe 25 gallon tree brnaches
I must say that this was a great user friendly tool, the only thing I did notice was the guide not providing user friendly instructions. The guide was mostly directed to professional landscaping crews.
