Answer:
If you are not getting spark, then probably the problem is the coil or the coil electrical connections. Make sure the coil connections are good and functional. If you still do not get spark, you most probably will need another coil. Thanks

I don't know, but it had plenty of power to cut down and chop up this 50 foot bottle brush tree. The wood is very hard, and it dulled the blade, but it kept running strong. The real secret is torque. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very good product I have been using this saw for months and no trouble with it. I cut down a tree maybe to big for the saw with no problems. Make you let the saw work for you. Never force the saw . Make sure the chain is allways sharp. If the chain is not sharp the saw will work to hard and you will have problems. May 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED WE NOTICED THE LANSCAPE CONTRACTORS IN OUR NEIGHBOR HOOD USING THIS NAME BRAND "ECHO" THOUGHT IF ITS GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE PROS MAYBE IT WOULD BE A WISE DECISION FOR US ALSO. THIS DID NOT COME WITH CHAIN OIL AND THE CHAIN NEED SHARPENING AFTER ONE SMALL FRUIT TREE. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good Saw. I had a tree blow over on our property line about 6 months ago and needed a chain saw to cut it up and remove it. I went through every saw that was listed at this store and found this saw to be the best pick. The tree was about 30' tall and had multiple branches of 4" and larger and the trunks were 12". I bought the recommended chain oil and engineered 50:1 fuel in a can and followed the instructions to the letter. I primed with 3 pumps, set choke and pulled 3 times and it fired up. after a minute of warm up I shut it off and adjusted the chain. I turned it on and pulled it one time and it fired up. It cut great! Finished the job and cleaned it and put it back in the box with the chain oil and fuel. I have used it 4 times after that and never have an issue with starting, chain cutting, nothing. A lot of issues with the others reviews I have read could be faulty equipment or user error, either way this is a good buy. August 21, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average at best Starts right up the first time. Very light and portable and while it was very inexpensive; it was easily overwhelmed with anything larger than 4" cut. Patience is needed and only use for light duty. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 14" gas chain saw Purchased this when a tree blew down in a storm and it would cost $900 to have it removed professionally. It worked with ease to cut through large limbs and trunk of tree. Wish it also loaded up the cut down tree into the trailer for disposal . It's a nice saw. My husband thought he needed a larger blade than a 15", but after he used this he was glad it wasn't any larger because he could hold it with o e hand to cut while on a ladder. July 26, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not worth the money a big time waster the plastic case will not support the bar bolts, they pull out of the cheap plastic after a period of use, had to have the case on mine replaced twice (under warranty) of course with repair speeds being pretty lousy cause of slow part supply it took over 5 weeks each time. Really set me back clearing my property. Also, have to hold the gas on when pulling the cord unless you want to wear your arm out using the method to start it they say to do. Bought a Husqvarna to take its place best price difference I ever paid. July 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great medium sized chain saw Bought this to help out on small limbs. I have a 20" Stihl that is just too heavy for jumping in and out of fallen tree limbs. This little Echo is manageable and lighter. It sliced through 4" - 6" limbs in seconds.I own a number of Echo products and they are all solidly built. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw! Just got this saw last night to do some storm cleanup. I was actually going to buy a different one but, it was out of stock. I bought this in stead on the advice of the Home Depot clerk. This saw is excellent! After the first start of the day no choke was needed it would be running before I finished pulling the rope. It cuts like a hot knife through butter. Overall I would recommend this saw to anyone looking for a great lightweight chainsaw. July 6, 2016
