A new leaf blower ordinance in my city requires:

"...the gas-powered leaf blower must be a low-noise leaf blower that operates at 65

decibels (dbA, per ANSI B175.2) or less as certified by the manufacturer, clearly marked by

the manufacturer on the leaf blower housing."

Answer:
The PB-265LN's sound rating is 64 dB(A) WOT at 50 feet per ANSI B175.2-2002 standards. The dB(A) rating is listed on a black and white sticker attached to the orange housing.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase I bought this same blower ten years ago, and I have only had to replace the gas filter twice($15) and the bulb once. It has ran like a champ. The larger model which blows a little better is a little too heavy for my old back, so I go with this model. This blower has been used everyday at my workplace, so it is a great buy for home or work. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product, great store Purchased this at the end of last season. It's a work horse. Used it a total of ~20 times without issue. Had an issue last weekend where the engine began to sputter and the unit stalled. Brought it into the Home Depot location in Marlboro and was told that there was a 30 day window for returns on power equipment (with gas engines). Was about to begin a battle when the nice lady at customer service recommended that I go see "Frank' over in tool rentals and that they could likely help me. Frank and Enrico pulled the unit behind the desk on the spot and did a full blown diagnostic/ service. Changed the gas, cleaned the filters, etc- all in about 5 min. Started right up and runs better than new. They even gave me tips on gas/ oil mixing and gas storage. Frank and Enrico are the real reason for the review because that level of service is something I have not seen in some time. Made me respect brick and mortar and HD in general a lot more. Great team- these guys are mechanical magicians. August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not a lot of power This blower would be great to blow off your porch, small driveway, and small tasks. It doesn't have a lot of power. We bought this just to have as a back up for our lawn business. We have a commercial grade but wanted one to have if anything ever happened to that one while on a job. Didn't want to get stuck with nothing. We knew it was not commercial grade and would only use if we got in a bind. But it wasn't worth even having for that. It doesn't blow hard at all. We are just going to return and upgrade. Its our fault. We should of known better. The product itself is good. We only use Echo products. Its built well. It's lightweight (one of the reasons I wanted it). I'm sure it would do good for a homeowner to use for light jobs. If you want to use it for a business or for heavy duty jobs, spends the extra $$$ and upgrade. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VERY powerful!! The blower is amazing. Very powerful. The only downside to it is that you sometimes have to really pull to get it started. Also due to its power you will can feel the engine rocking your whole body at times. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Blower This is a great blower with enough power for what I needed. Light weight also July 12, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Motor is just too small! Bought it 2 years ago. Used premixed gas the whole time. Worked well the first year of use then started losing power. At the end of year two it lost all lower and couldn't blow a 6 inch twig across rocks. Took it apart and found the engine was blown. The 25 cc engine is lightweight but just doesn't have the power. You have to run at full throttle 24/7 which just puts strain on the motor. I replaced it with the 580T and the new blower has so much more power, doesn't have to run at full throttle either. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent backpack. Good power for a small property. So easy to start is a plus. Highlight is how it weighs very little on your back. You never get tired of using it. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Deal Very minor assembly required. A normal home owner should not have a problem. Does exactly what I needed it for. June 21, 2016
