DO YOU USE OIL/GAS MIXTURE

Asked by: Anonymous
i use both true fuel premixed in the can and also my own mix. both seemed fine, though the stuff that comes premixed is ethanol free, but a little pricey if you use the machine a good amount.

What is the difference between an Echo PB-265LNC and an Echo-PB-265NC?

Asked by: JoeJ
The CARB or California Air Resources Board compliant 2-stroke engines will put out less emissions and are usually more fuel efficient. As with tools like this where I am right beside the exhaust stream the idea of having less pollution to breathe is very appealing.

I have had this happen several time on my own as well. All I do is use a pair of pliers to force the tube back into the gas tank.....good as new :)

Customer Reviews

158 MPH 375 CFM Gas Leaf Blower is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 152.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect blower for me! When I first started this blower, I was a little disappointed. The whir/noise from my previous backpack unit just was not there and I thought I might need to consider the next step up. As soon as I started using it, I found that was just not the case. It has plenty of blowing power for my application of a 300 foot driveway plus our decks and roofs. The speed control idles down for fine work as well. What is not there is the noise and the weight. At 13 plus pounds, and my 68 year old body, I will be able to easily use this for years to come. Also an added benefit, it seems to take much less fuel than my last back pack blower. It is well made and well engineered. (my background) Granted if you unintentionally turn the wrong way, you won't blow the utility shed over but for most home applications this is a perfect blower.

I don't normally write reviews but thought i should in this case since none of the reviews reflected my exact experience. i bought the 265LN online and thought it would have enough power to clean up a 1/4 acre yard with multiple trees but it didn't. machine started right up after 2 pulls. easy set up, nice design and light, just not enough power. i brought it right back to HD and they took it back no problem and i upgraded to the Echo 580t, which is much more powerful. I would say at full throttle on the 265LN, it had about half the power of the next level Echo backpack (580T). I use the 580T for about 3 hours and it worked great and would recommend for general yard use. I would recommend the 265LN if you don't have a ton of trees or if you blow every weekend and the leaves don't pile up too high.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lacks power but pretty great for small jobs Bought this unit, starts first pull, super quiet, super light weight, love the seperate throttle, and great reliability. Only complaint for me is that it doesnt have the power to blow the larger leaves once i start a pile, So lesson here is to blow multiple small piles, then pickup. I do recomend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Working fine so far... Not as powerful as I expected but decided against the higher end models due to price and weight. So far, this blower has started after 2-3 pulls and works fine for basic maintenance around the house. Comfortable and lightweight. I've only had it for about a month, but it gets the job done.

I really like that the unit utilizes the left hand for throttle control. This balance's me as I walk the yard. Most blowers I looked at only use the right hand for both.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding piece of machinery I have owned this blower now for 2.5 years. I've had other brands in the past but decided to go with an Echo based on it's reputation. This is without a doubt the nicest piece of yard machinery I've ever owned. It has the I30 starter system and it makes a world of difference. No matter how long it has been in storage it starts up with no problems. Start it using the cold start and within 2 pulls (sometimes three) It fires right up. It also has plenty of power to get any job I need to do done. I'm now hooked on the Echo brand. I have another brand chain saw that I am trading in towards a brand new Echo chain saw. I can't wait to get it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product, great store Purchased this at the end of last season. It's a work horse. Used it a total of ~20 times without issue. Had an issue last weekend where the engine began to sputter and the unit stalled. Brought it into the Home Depot location in Marlboro and was told that there was a 30 day window for returns on power equipment (with gas engines). Was about to begin a battle when the nice lady at customer service recommended that I go see "Frank' over in tool rentals and that they could likely help me. Frank and Enrico pulled the unit behind the desk on the spot and did a full blown diagnostic/ service. Changed the gas, cleaned the filters, etc- all in about 5 min. Started right up and runs better than new. They even gave me tips on gas/ oil mixing and gas storage. Frank and Enrico are the real reason for the review because that level of service is something I have not seen in some time. Made me respect brick and mortar and HD in general a lot more. Great team- these guys are mechanical magicians.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and Light ! Decided to move up to a backpack blower for yard work on some rentals I own in Wisconsin. Moves leaves better then my Stihl hand held and is extremely light in weight and big on power. Built well and the adjustable length of blowing tube is very useful. Starts easily and seems durable. Can't beat a 5 year warranty. Can't wait to try it on the snow !
