Customer Questions & Answers

What is the practical difference between this chainsaw and the 36.3cc Model # CS-370-16AA?

Does the 36.3cc saw cut faster? I need something for relatively light occasional use in the yard, usually on wood that is 2 -5 inches in diameter.
Asked by: Mitch
Echo Rep - If you see this, I was asking about two different models: CS-370 vs. CS-352. They both have a 16 inch model, but the 370 has a bigger engine. I assume that means the 370 is more powerful, but I wasn't sure.

What kind of gas should I get to use?
Asked by: Henry
Use only fresh gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89 through 93 (mid-grade to premium) at all times. Today's emission certified engines are adjusted leaner and combined with the use of fuel containing 10% ethanol results in higher internal engine temperatures. Use of regular unleaded 87 octane fuel could cause detonation inside the combustion chamber which will result in severe internal engine damage and is not covered by ECHO's product warranty. Using fuels that have an octane rating of 89 or higher will help protect the engine from the harmful effects of detonation.

Customer Reviews

16 in. 34 cc Gas Chainsaw is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 206.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Took care of business My 20 year old McCulloch died, so I needed a quick replacement to whack up a fallen oak branch. I looked at reviews on line, and yes, I could have purchased a saw for under $200, but the reviews of the Echo saw were compelling, so I bought it. I filled it with fuel and chain oil. Primed and choked it, and it fired on the second pull. Backed the choke off, and it started on the first pull. The saw ate through that oak like it was butter; the thickest part of the branch was 10 inches in diameter. I will no doubt sort out the Mac and work out the problem, but meanwhile the Echo will be a reliable tool for many years. I only wish it came with a case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw I bought this saw about a month ago, after my old chainsaw was stolen. I was surprised to no chain cover for it when not in use. So I purchased one separately and it works fine. I'm amazed not to find a saw of this caliber doesn't have a case of its own. For me at first it was very hard to start. That is until I read the whole book of instructions. Now it will start pretty quickly within five pulls. As long as you don't dull the chain, like hit the dirt with it or something like that. This saw is one beast when cutting. I use it primarily to cut fallen trees for firewood, and clean up around my property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect limber! I bought this cs-352 last month to begin the clear out of nearly 300 hardwood tops left after a lumber sale on my property. The saw started after the second pull! Once warmed and I adjusted the carb (it was very lean) I've so far gotten through 4 tops cut to 16" firewood size pieces with ease. It has since started on the first pull every time, and the balance and lack of vaibration is fantastic, so much so that I bought another 352 and a 310 in order to have family members help tackle this project with me. I'm using the 14" bar as opposed to the 16", and there's no change in balance or handling. The chain does stretch quite a bit once warm, though the side adjustment screw is nice once its cooled back down when needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ''Another winner'' Cutting tree's weekly to keep up with demand from fire wood sales I need reliable chain saws. After owning the competition and failing me in the middle of the woods on several frustrating occasions i decided to purchase the cs 590 Timberwolf, I was so impressed i had to have another model for lighter duty work so i purchased the cs-352 ''wow'' both of these saws work and run incredible ! its nice to now only worry about when my chain needs sharpening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw! First Echo saw I have purchased as my 30 yr Stihl got tired. Having had a Echo trimmer that still pulls it weight after over twenty years of use I purchased the CS-352. Awesome saw. Great power for this size, starts easily, and a joy to use. Have ran through 4 tanks of fuel and hasn't missed a beat. Liked it so much I just purchased a CS-590 for my heavier cutting. Thanks Echo....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Starts easy . Great home owner saw! An ice storm came through 03/14/17 in the North East Maryland area and hit my pine trees hard. I had many large downded branches to cut and clean up. I have 2 Echo blower vacs ,one set up as vac with the other set up as a blower. I also have 2 Echo weed wackers. They all run great! I also have a hard to start discount brand 16" chain saw which I was not looking forward to using after this storm. It is hard to start and keep running for a well maintained saw! Because of the amount of clean up needed to do I opted to buy the new Echo CS-352. Now that the outside temp. has finally warming up I have used this saw a lot without issue. It starts on first pull and has plenty of power! The thing that keeps me buying Echo is how easy they are to start. I have enough to do without trouble shooting my yard equipment. Your products are easy to start and durable! Thanks Echo! Eric Lalli Elkton Maryland

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Echo CS352.... the new better chainsaw I was going to get a new Stihl chainsaw but my neighbor who is an old timer who knows his tools said I should try out an Echo. I have to say I am glad I did... with more power and less money it was the way to go. Just used it today and it cuts like a dream. I liked the chainsaw so much I bought the leaf blower and that works awesome as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Performing Saw! This saw has all the power I need to cut wood for my outside wood-burning furnace. It is very easy to start and its cutting performance exceeds my expectations. I am a 120 lb., 70 yr. old female and can pull the starting cord easily, without wrenching my shoulder out of its socket. Excellent buy!
