Today's emission certified engines are adjusted leaner and combined with the use of fuel containing 10% ethanol results in higher internal engine temperatures. Use of regular unleaded 87 octane fuel could cause detonation inside the combustion chamber which will result in severe internal engine damage and is not covered by ECHO's product warranty. Using fuels that have an octane rating of 89 or higher will help protect the engine from the harmful effects of detonation. Read Less

Does the 36.3cc saw cut faster? I need something for relatively light occasional use in the yard, usually on wood that is 2 -5 inches in diameter.

Answer:
Echo Rep - If you see this, I was asking about two different models: CS-370 vs. CS-352. They both have a 16 inch model, but the 370 has a bigger engine. I assume that means the 370 is more powerful, but I wasn't sure.

Answer:
This is no difference between models, CS-352-16 and CS-352-16AA. The "16" is indicating the Chain Saw comes with a 16" bar and chain. The "AA" is a packaging/shipping code for Home Depot.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 175 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just open the box and start cutting I did a lot of research as I was seeking a saw that I could use for curing firewood, clearing some areas on my hunting lease and just general around the house needs. I was impressed with the reviews of the CS-352 and it was the right size and great price band. Went to one of my local Home Depot stores today and picked it up. Got it out of the box, added fuel, and chain oil. Drove over to one of our local tree dumps to cut up si e firewood. Started right away and wow, the power, ease of operation, and sure smooth cutting was better than high prices saws. This saw may quick work of every log I cut from small to over 12" and like some have said " it was like a hot knife through butter". I would recommend this with no hesitation at all. August 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Powerful little package Got another brand that didnt last two smaller trees, But this chain saw has bang for buck just strong, love the snap when using it, not bad on hands and arms when using it all say September 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So easy to start and use I bought my echo CS352 in Feb 2016 and have used it a lot since then. It is really easy to start and runs very well. there is no kickback and it certainly cuts above its class. It the second Echo saw I have bought - the first was a CS450 and still going strong August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So easy to start I had a "Husky" and it was very hard to start, my new Echo is really easy and requires little effort. Love it! September 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Makes the cut Top of a tree fell during a July MN storm. Finally got around to the bigger wood that needed more exertion from me or something more 21st century. Worked wonders - the greatest wonder being how woodsmen worked without these machines. Now I'm praying for more storms so I can clear-cut my yard and install solar. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT SAW RAN FLAWLESSLY CUT EVERYTHING I HAD TO CUT WITHOUT A PROBLEM August 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great chainsaw for storm cleanup after TS Colin I purchased this for clean up after tropical storm Colin damaged my trees and took down my fence. This saw performed flawlessly and has made the removal of downed limbs a breeze. I also used it to cut all the panels of fence down to manageable size pieces for removal after being knocked down by the storm. This saw has so much more power than my old chainsaw and it started right up on the second pull right out of the box! I must say it also looks great next to my new Echo trimmer in the shed. No more buying cheap products for me. You can feel the difference in quality and power of both tools is more than enough to get the job done ! June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw, great price, and great warranty. Now retired I needed to catch up with the trees that are on our 6 acres. My old Husky 61, was getting to heavy for me to use for cutting small trees and limbs. The old Poulan was hard to start and keep running. I needed something light, had power, and would start easy and keep running. I found it in the Echo CS-352-16. It does everything that I need it to do. I use the Echo to help with the cutting for the woodstove for this winters heating season. Very happy with the Echo. July 18, 2016
