I bought this saw about a month ago, after my old chainsaw was stolen. I was surprised to no chain cover for it when not in use. So I purchased one separately and it works fine. I'm amazed not to find a saw of this caliber doesn't have a case of its own.
For me at first it was very hard to start. That is until I read the whole book of instructions. Now it will start pretty quickly within five pulls.
As long as you don't dull the chain, like hit the dirt with it or something like that. This saw is one beast when cutting. I use it primarily to cut fallen trees for firewood, and clean up around my property.

I am a 55 yr old widow and could not start my husband's Husqvarna even though it had an easy start mechanism. The Husqvarna repair guy recommended an Echo. I bought this saw and am thrilled! It started right up and had enough power to allow me to cut up a large fallen hickory tree. It was light enough for me to handle for an hour and a half at a time without my arms giving out. I am an Echo customer from now on!

I have had a Stihl, Craftsman and a Pouland chainsaw. The Poulan was an impulse buy one year at Home Depot. I was never happy with its performance and I used it little. It was an 18" saw with a nice case. I read somewhere a person found with Poulan saws, "you keep on pullin to get them started." Before I gave it to a thrift shop, I found I had the same experience trying to start it.
The Craftsman worked ok as it was a hand-me down. It tended to cut well when I wasn't breaking my wrist trying to get it started. It finally met its demise in a moment of frustration and threw it literally in my dumpster.
The Stihl was a pick-me-up from a neighbors curb where I fixed it and it ran great. So it was a freebie after I purchased some missing screws and bolts. It cut and started great, but being old and salvaged, it finally quit working. I thought I my next saw would have to be a Stihl.
When hurricane Matthews uprooted five trees 15-20 ft taller than my house, I looked for a Stihl at Home Depot, but finding none, I picked up this Echo CS-352 based on the reviews. Wow, like a knife to butter, it cut up the limbs, branches and trunks of those trees without once needing to be sharpened. Just one time I had to do a minor tightening of the chain, but this saw never quit. Started easy, in my mind worked as well as the Stihl I had loved so much. With a five-year consumer warranty, you can't go wrong with this chainsaw.

I am a 65 year old widow who needed a light weight chainsaw to cut firewood. This is a perfect size saw for me. It is powerful enough for my needs. Easy to start and to adjust chain tension. I would recommend.

This Echo chain saw perfectly fit what I needed: a dependable, well made saw, suitable for a large suburban lot with trees. The manual is well written and the tool provided for adjustments nicely built. Overall quality construction. They even gave good pointers about how to store it for long months of non use. Very pleased with Echo!

We had a windstorm that took down several trees in our yard. We cut up 7 trailer loads of wood with this chainsaw. Worked perfect, even on the bigger logs it just cut right through.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff1132 Just open the box and start cutting
I did a lot of research as I was seeking a saw that I could use for curing firewood, clearing some areas on my hunting lease and just general around the house needs. I was impressed with the reviews of the CS-352 and it was the right size and great price band. Went to one of my local Home Depot stores today and picked it up. Got it out of the box, added fuel, and chain oil. Drove over to one of our local tree dumps to cut up si e firewood. Started right away and wow, the power, ease of operation, and sure smooth cutting was better than high prices saws. This saw may quick work of every log I cut from small to over 12" and like some have said " it was like a hot knife through butter". I would recommend this with no hesitation at all.
