What is the gas/oil mixture the echo cs370 takes?

Asked by: Anonymous
50:1. Best to use the Echo synthetic or just buy the store bought pre-mix and save the hassle of moixingyourself. More expensive, yes, but perfect everytime.

EDP (Engine Durability Period) or Useful life By EPA’s own words EDP means “When Engine performance deteriorates to the point where usefulness and / or reliability are impacted to a degree sufficient to necessitate overhaul or replacement”.CARB and EPA has created a three tier rating system for handheld equipment. They are: A=300 Hour commercial use (the longest durability period of handheld equipment). B=125 Hour medium duty. C=50 Hour home owner. ECHO manufactures all commercial products to the 300 Hour commercial use standard. This means that our 300 hour engines will stay mechanically durable in order to be Emissions compliant for a minimum of 300 Hrs. ECHO's commercial engine durability is 6 times longer than those engines at 50 Hrs. This 300 Hr. rating under California’s CARB (California Air Resource Board) the world’s toughest emission regulation, classifies our commercial engines as extended commercial duty.

16 in. 36.3 cc Gas Chainsaw is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 134.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect saw for the home I've had the saw for almost 4 years and it runs like it did the day I got it. The 18" bar with a full chisel chain is a lot for the saw to handle, but it powers through mesquite all day long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought this saw for yard clean up, I had a 14 year old Poulan saw that finally gave up the ghost, I bought this saw mainly because I own a Echo blower and string trimmer, they are both about 7 years old, they were bought at the same time, I have always had very good service out of these tools so I wanted the chain saw, man what a saw, there is no comparison between this saw and my old one. I don't think you can beat this saw in power, starting and cutting, only time will tell but if I have as good of service out of this saw as I do my other Echo tools, which I think I will, I'm a customer for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just About Perfect Homeowner Saw! I got my Echo CS-370 a few weeks ago. I've already used it to cut up dead pines that were approximately 8-10 inches and a 20" cherry tree. It bogged down if I leaned into it too much, but letting the saw pull itself through, it ran just fine. I will be upgrading the chain though. Pretty much all new saws come with the low profile/safety chain. I will be getting a full skip chain soon. Besides that, it fires up on just a couple pulls. The air filter design is ingenious compared to the flat screen type filters on other saws. It's pretty much perfect for what I need a saw for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome saw for smaller jobs. I bought this saw for my small cutting projects and it works great for what I bought it for. I wish it had a .325 chain but it still works great with 3/8 profile chain. After using cold start procedure for the initial start, it always starts with one pull all day. I've used Stihl and Husky all the time and this is just as great on similar engine size. I like the five year warranty. I owned Echo weed-eater and it performed awesome, 2 years past warranty period and still runs great. Always drain your gas mix when you don't plan on using for a while and always use highest grade of gas, never use ethanol and keep chain sharp.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good saw for "small" work. I purchased this saw thinking it would cut several cords of firewood...NOT. It is good for cutting limbs on the weekend only. I have spent a lot on parts. Buy a saw with at least 50 cc engine for cutting firewood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable as a stone! I've had this saw for just over 9 years. I got it soon after hurricane Ike for massive clean up duties on several properties. I got it from a dealer who tuned it properly for me and I ended up running the snot out of it for about 3 years and then moved to suburbia where it sat for a year with old gas before I pulled it back out to use on a small trimming job. It took a while, as expected to get it to turn over but with fresh gas and patience I got it running and it performed great. I'm now back in the country, running the saw on E-free gas where it cut about 10 cords the first year before I bought a 50cc class pro Stihl (ms261)...which has also been a good saw, although it hasn't been run so far outside of its capacity as the Echo has. I am now doing removals for firewood and fire mitigation and the 370 is still a main staple providing excellent service. I feel like Echo makes some of the most dependable small engines and the best ignition systems in 2 strokes. While Stihl and Husqvarna lead the industry in marketing ploys and power to weight ratios, Echo makes solid, reliable workhorses for the long run. I am now in the market for a 70cc class saw and it will definitely be a cs680. My dad has an old gray cs6700 and has always run Stihl 044's along side it and says it's by far the best, most reliable saw he's owned.
