For all the negative reviewers, mix fresh with 89 octane and stop using old mixed fuel! I discard after 3 months... I'm a chemical operator, gasoline loses it's volitility, oil will separate, and old mix without stabilizer will attract moisture... Works very well with minimal smoke.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by echoowner2015 echo power blend
I've been using this echo power blend in my echo srm 225 since new. I also use it in my leaf blower and have never had an issue. Properly measure the oil at 2.6 oz to 1 gallon of premium gas and you will have great results. I don't buy 'discount' gas for my equipment..either shell, Mobil, chevron..etc, are good fuels to make premix, not fuels from a grocery store, and such places.

This product made my echo blower and weed wacker bog down. It clogged up the spark arestor and i was using the correct mix ratio and running machine at high power. I switched to stihl hp ultra and im very happy with that product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by thetruth Great stuff
To all the reviewers with bad experience i have a few things to say to you:
-Your fuel in old and/or contaminated (usually with water)
-Your engine is not tuned correctly
-Something else is wrong with your engine like dirt ingestion through a missing/damaged air filter
-You are not allowing the engine to warm up several minutes before going to wide open throttle.
-Do not run any ash less/ or outboard (water cooled) engine oil!
If a little bit of research is done, you will find this oil MEETS THE HIGHEST SPECIFICATIONS CURRENTLY USED in rating 2 stroke air cooled engine oils. This means this oil is certified for the ISO EGD, as well as the JASO FD ratings. There are many oils that CLAIM that they meet these specifications but without the official square seal printed on the side of the container, that says FD as well as a serial number, that means the mfr is only CLAIMING it meets these specs, and hasn't officially had it tested and approved by the oil standards organization. Just because you are buying Stihl, husqvarna, ryobi oil does not mean its the best for your equipment. look for the official Jaso FD seal to know you are getting the best. These rated oils, give off very little exhaust smoke when cold, and basically none when fully warmed up. They run extremely clean in the engine and provide the most superior protection. The only other oil that home depot currently sells that officially meets these stringent requirements is the Hitachi oil.
If you want the best life and service out of your 2 stroke/ 2 cycle engine do the following
-Make sure its tuned correctly, did i mention make sure its tuned correctly? And ill tuned engine can destroy itself literally in a couple minutes.
-Make sure the air filter works and is in good condition, same as the fuel filter.
-Run ethanol free fuel if possible, if not do not running higher than 10% ethanol (E10)
-Run 89 octane or higher preferably 91/92/93
-store fuel in a container with minimal air space above the fuel (fuel with ethanol absorbs water from the humidity in the air and starts contaminating the fuel) Fuel + water = engine death
-make sure container is well sealed and keep fuel in a sheltered place out of direct sunlight
-If the fuel is not used up in 3 months, dump it into your gasoline powered car (this will do no harm at all its so diluted) and mix up a new batch.
-Always shake fuel thoroughly before use.
The vast majority of problems people have with these engines comes down to
-poor fuel management
-Running the factory settings, the factory settings are generally very lean to pass EPA pollution limits. These run the engines into dangerous territory (hot and lacking enough fuel to carry enough lubricating oil and are responsible for scores of ruined engines) Not only that, but when they are run like this, the engine does not product best power/throttle response ext, and the engine longevity can be diminished to minutes not thousands of hours...
-Take the engine to an approved shop and have it tuned CORRECTLY, and your engines should literally last several thousand hours without issue!
Though long, i hope this review helps some out there that are having problems and sheds some light on the do's and don'ts of 2 strokes. Buy this or any other officially badged jaso FD oil for the best protection, and least smoke out of your 2 stroke.
