CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 237 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by POOR QUALITY/BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE Had this unit for a year and the debris bag wore a hole in it because there is no deflector flap at the end of the chute. Tried to defect it through Echo, and they told me that this is normal wear and tear and would do nothing but try to sell me another one that would obviously wear another hole in a year. NO THANKS!!! I have had several other brands of leaf blower/vacs and the debris bags have outlasted the units. My advice is to avoid this company if this is how they take care of their customers. December 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This blower/vac has power! This is our 4th Echo product. We keep coming back to Echo because they never disappoint. We also have an Echo backpack blower but needed a new leaf vacuum after our old electric leaf vacuum (a different brand) had the motor burn up. This blower and vac has tons of power and assembly is a snap. Transitioning from the blower to vac is simple if you follow the instructions provided. December 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceeded all of my expectations. I have a fenced in back yard so all the fall leaves gather allong my fenceline. The few that don't I was able to use the blower to gather to the side. I was then able to use the vaccuum option. I found the bag easy to use, it goes on and comes off very easily with a velcro strap to secure it in place. It would be nice if it was something different than velcro since I feel that could wear out after a couple of years (just me nit picking), so far it works gread. The bag opens with a very sturdy zipper, I never had any problems with it. I was able to get at least 2x as many leaves in my Yard waste bag as I was by just smashing them in so the mulching seams to work really well. There is a lever that has to be pressed (requiring a screw driver) to change out the blower tube for the vaccume tube. I could see that being inconvenient if you needed to switch back and forth a lot but it did not affect how I worked. Overall, I am VERY happy I purchased this over other comparably priced models. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good. I know a couple people with this model and everyone likes it Super easy to setup and start using it. The build seems to be good quality as well. I compared this versus the Stihl and Husquavarna versions and this one had the largest shred bag and similar specs, but was cheaper so it was an easy decision. October 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase. Echo is the best in the consumer industry Great Blower overall. only small thing I having to convert it to the shredder it takes a lil effort to remove the tubes when changed back to blowing but other than that all my neighbors love the blower. I have help some neighbors do their leaves and they are impressed. Go with ECHO November 21, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Update after 6 months... multiple failures, no warranty service. After 6 months of ownership, the bag has holes in it, the threads that used to barely hold the strap have failed, and the blower itself has stopped operating due to dirt that has worked its way through the plastic manifold around the air filter. The engineering oversight was that they took a blower and tried to turn it into a vacuum, but didn't consider that the dust produced by the vacuum outlet evolves directly in front of the air filter. Echo refused to honor its warranty. Some machines work on paper, and some work in the field. If you use this as a leaf vacuum, it will give you grief after a few months, and Echo will give you grief after that. Save your money for a better product. July 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by wouldn't even start I bought this unit today and had high hopes with all the good reviews. I took it out of the box, filled it with 50:1 fuel, turned the power switch to the on position, set the choke to cold, set the throttle to about half way and started attempting to start. After 30 minutes and not even a sputter, I drained the fuel, put it back in the box and took it back. There was another unit on the shelf that looked like it had been returned and re-boxed as it had tape all over it. I remembered reading other reviews stating they had the same problem. I never tried an Echo product before and don't think I will again. June 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty Good Machine Pretty good machine for the money. The biggest complaint I have is that if you get it started and it stalls (reving too early, etc), its a pain to get started again as I presume the engine is flooded. The manual is no help, but I found online that you switch the choke to Hot Start, remove the air filter with the wing nut, and then yank start it and it will run rough but clean up soon. Before I figured that out, I was really to test its airborne aerodynamics. June 24, 2015
