Rated 5 out of 5 First Echo ChainSaw - Had Stihl and Husqvarna Recently purchased the Echo CS 400 chain saw with 18in chain. Bought the new Echo Red Armor oil and use in all my other 2 strokes with excellent results. Very easy to start cold at only 2 total. Warm start has always been a single pull. This saw has i30 start easy pull system and large engine power through any size tree with ease. This is surprisingly light for engine size and use all day reliably. I owned Stihl and Husqvarna chain saws for over 20 years and the Echo is by far the best owner experience high quality and 5 year no hassle warranty. October 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome saw I gIt the cs400 just for the reasonable sale price and the warranty is hard to beat. I just use it for Bon fire wood cutting and yard clean up. It starts on the second pull usually never over 3 pulls. Handles great plenty of power for anything you would ever need around home. I would recommend it to anyone bedding one for fire wood cutting or just clean up work. It will out cut others I have of different brands October 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great saw easy to use. I have had this saw since 2010 and I use it as my trim and bucking saw. I like to 18 inch bar on mine gives me more reach. It has plenty of power and start easy. Although it is a little cold natured, but after it warms up it runs fantastic. Its easy to use and for me is very light. The 4 out of 5 star is due to it being cold natured. October 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by ECHO-CS-400 love everything about it . one pull start, weight of the saw is perfect. The Stihl i had didn't even compare to this saw. October 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light & Powerful Saw I bought my CS-400 after reading numerous reviews of several brands of chainsaws. I wanted a Stihl, but found this saw to have better reviews. This saw has more features than a comparable Stihl or Husky at a lower price. The saw is very light, starts easily when following the manufacturers instructions, and cuts through trees with ease. So far I have cut down over 25 trees of various sizes, including one hardwood tree stump that was too large to dig up with my tractor. I use only Echo fuel and bar oil in this saw and it runs smooth without the slightest hesitation. The only concern I have is the front handle is described as aluminum with a rubber coating. The handle is actually plastic, looks just like the one on the saw pictured. The display model in the store had an aluminum handle with a rubber cover, but when I opened the box at home the handle was plastic. Not really an issue, but misleading advertising. I foresee getting many years of reliable use from this saw. I am glad I purchased this saw over the other brands I was considering. October 22, 2014
