Depends on the bar length. Oregon has a chain finder. The saw also has a sticker on it telling you what chain you need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the perfect midsize saw Got a smoking deal on the 450-20" and the 590-20" as a package deal, to finally upgrade from my trusted old 1972 Mac 10-10 auto, and no regrets. The 450 is well balanced, well built, lightweight, and ran & started very well as delivered. But it seemed it was being held back. I ran some of my 32:1 lucas semi synthetic mix, ditched the carb limiters and fine tuned it running hard into tamarack.....Whoa what a saw this is now. There is no stopping it, fast cutting and easy to handle with tons of power after the retuning. I planned on just using it for trimming and limbing my firewood, but I found myself using it for bucking logs all the way up to 20" diameter. It runs right up there with 55cc saws. Love this little monster saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Chainsaw I have ever used This thing is unstoppable! I am absolutely shocked how well this saw performs. I was cutting through 30 inch logs and it did NOT bog down on me. the power is amazing. It does not smoke like other 2 cycle chainsaws do. It cut those logs like a hot knife through butter. Dont buy the cheapo homelite piece of junk. Spend the money and do it right. This is truly a fantastic piece of machinery. Good is never cheap, and cheap is never good. Buy the Echo cs-450. My name is Skippy, and I approved this message.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome saw- powerful and hungry!! After a recent tree clearing experience, it became obvious that my 14" Echo saw just wasn't the right choice for large projects that involve numerous 18-20" diameter trees. I considered a couple of "cheaper" saws, but after reading many reviews and spec sheets, decided to maintain my brand loyalty to the one who has never let me down. I chose this particular saw because the 45cc motor would have plenty of power to turn an 18" chain, as it usually is spec'd out for a 20" bar. And right that was! This saw has plenty of power, and never bogs down when you push the limits. A couple of features that I found real nice are the pump primer which delivers fuel right to the carb., and makes startup easy, and the location and quality of the air intake filter. The filter is more out of the way of wood shavings then on other saws, and the filter itself is much more like a K&N automotive application then a typical cheesy 2-stroke filter. Great investment, and well worth the price!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ITS A KEEPER Hurrican sandy blew trees down like match stixs. My old MAC 3200 was not going to handle the 4' diam tree in driveway. I picked up saw and cut for 12 hours day one and 4 hours day 2 and 6 hours day 3. The saw always started went threw 2 chains in 3 days. The 4 foot diam tree 100' tall was a good challenge . the saw worked like a champ . the tree was laying on a house . Had to use a ladder to access the top portion of the tree .. worked well off the ladder and upside down cuts. Its a keeper .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw extra cc`s worth getting on the 18inch Worked and started as described . Fast cutting, weight just right, good color easy to locate in the woods. Worth a little extra getting the 45cc on the 18inch bar size. Ordered online, quick shipping, packed securely . Would recommend .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great This saw is teriffic. I bought a competitors' product (green color) for about $100 a few months ago. A large 60' tree fell in my backyard. I became so frustrated with the "green saw" that I threw it in the trash. I went to HD and purchased this beast. This is a perfectly illustrates the old adage that you get what you pay for! There is no comparison between the two. This saw started right up and cut the tree with ease. I thought that the 18" bar would be intimidating but it handles like a dream. The machine is well balanced and runs like a top. Worth every penny. I am very impressed with Echo's quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so far a good saw for the money and free shipping We bought this saw to replace an old green saw that had given its all. We cut and block about 7 cords of wood each year so I anticipate this saw will get a good work out this first year. On a whole it seems to be well built and started right out of the box no trouble. It has enough power to cut through good sized trees and logs without bogging the engine down a lot like our old one used to. Starts easily when hot or cold and the anti vibration system makes a real difference. with our home depot card we got free shipping which was a plus and it arrived much sooner than I had thought it would. So far I like it. I would, and have, recommended it to friends.
