What is the basic difference betwqeen thw ES-250 and the ES-255/ What is the rated power of the ES-250 at 165 mph AND THE es-255 AT AT 150 MPH?

Asked by: CHIEF
Both the ES-250 and the ES-255 have similar power. The round blower tube that comes with the ES-250 gives it greater CFM but less MPH when compared to the the ES-255 with the tapered tube. When comparing the performance of leaf blowers always compare the amount of air, which is measured in Cubic Feet Per Minute (CFM), in addition to the max air speed that is measured in Miles Per Hour (MPH). The CFM is the amount of air coming out of the unit, the CFM is the volume of air that will move the leaves. The more CFM the more leaves you will be able to blow at one time. The MPH is the force behind the CFM. The higher the MPH, the greater the distance the leaves will be pushed. The advantage of the ES-255 over the ES-250 is the quieter 69 dBa rating for noise sensitive areas and the i-30 starting system requiring a 30% reduction in the effort required to pull the starter rope. However with the the i-30 stating system comes and extra 1.8 lbs of weight over the lighter ES-250.

How would this handle pine needles? Both blowing them across the lawn into a pile. And then vacuum them up? I have 5 pine trees on my property line

Asked by: Barbs
I have one as well - and have two houses where one is oak leaves and the other is pine needles. It works great for leaves & items, but i have not had the same luck with pine needles. I wanted to use it to pick and shred them to make it easier to clean up.... it can do it - but have to unclog them a lot. It will work, but not as efficiently as with leaves and twigs.

Leaf Collection System

I am in the process of trying to put together an easy and convenient way of leaf mulching/collection, but cannot find a complete system with my preference(s). I also want to use a gas powered blower/vacuum so that I can move freely around my yards without being tethered to an electrical outlet My questions is; Will this blower/vacuum work with the Worx Leaf Pro Universal Leaf Collection System?
Asked by: Fred
The ECHO Shred N Vac units are not compatible with Worx products.

Live the city and want something that will vacuum up sweet gum balls off cement as well as smaller litter. Will this mulch sweet gum balls?

Asked by: cityguy
ECHO Shred N’ Vac units are designed primarily to vacuum leaves. The units are not intended to vacuum items such as pinecones, acorns, etc. ECHO recommends first operating the unit as a blower to blow the leaves away from the items that are not intended to be vacuumed into the unit.

191 MPH 354 CFM Gas Leaf Blower Vacuum is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 73.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product!! This is the only product I have found that I can use to remove unwanted items from my rocks in my landscaped areas. It removes mulch, dirt, clippings, etc. without sucking up the rocks. I also use it after trimming bushes if the clippings aren't too large. Highly recommended. Had to order through the web as HD no longer keeps it in stock. Always starts easily and runs well.

Easy setup, easy start up, ran this machine from 11Am until 6PM, no issues whatsoever. Blew all the leaves to the end of the yard. Switched over to the mulcher and bagged them all up. Does an outstanding job. I would definitely buy this if you have a lot of trees like I do. The vacuum alone is worth every penny. Unzip the bag and dump.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There She Blows! Excellent product. Very powerful and usually start on the first pull! The shoulder strap sucks meaning uncomfortable on the shoulders after 3 or 4 bag fills, but still worth every penny.. Thank you all for posting unbiased reviews prior to my purchase. We all rely on them and I need to write more of my own reviews to pay it forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product The blower feature works as stated and will blow debris away with ease. The weight of the unit is not a problem, even for a scrawny, 61 year old. As for the shredding attachment, the steel blade makes excellent size mulch out of leaves that can be re-cycled for later use in your flower beds. The suction feeding the shredder will pull chrome off a trailer hitch so pay attention when operating. As with any new power garden tool, it takes a little time to get used to the capabilities; once mastered, one will become a true yard ranger. Quality of the product will likely outlive me. Highly recommend.

I purchased for the vacuum feature. When I did a pile of leaves in the shade there must have been damp leaves so it clogged. I unclogged and called it a day. The second time I used it I used a blower and put all the leaves in a pile then used the echo to vacuum up and it wouldn't keep the power on; kept ceasing up on me. After 2 attempts I returned the product and picked up the pile of leaves by hand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Performs as expected I've struggled for years to find a blower/vac that was easy to assemble, stay assembled (i.e. parts coming unconnected...especially when using the vac), easy to start and operate. I bought this model primarily for the vac capabilities and it has met my expectations. Of course the shredding could be more effective but for the most part I'm happy with how it performs when clearing leaves and loose debris from my yard, flower beds, driveway, etc. I've yet to use in the fall/early spring when leaves are wet but expect that it should perform as planned. I recommend this product.

I am a woman and it does get a little heavy to hold after awile. So Women keep that in mind. It is very bulky and long. Reminder it does not particularly like wet leaves and will clog up and you will need to take the plastic elbo off to unclog the vacuum part. I do not think that there is any quick fix on leaves but this will help

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Starts easially glad I purchased it. The last five outdoor power tools I have purchased have been Echos, and there is a reason for it, and that reason is quality. From easy starting to the power needed to get the job done, Echo is head and shoulders above the nearest competitors, and that's really saying something because I would rank most of them as very good.
