Answer:
New jet? If not your jet is probably stuck, and I believe they call that enameling. I have a 3 year old Troy Bilt that I'd love to get running well again, but being a commodity item, and replacements being $160-$200 for pretty good trimmers, I just replaced it..A local small engine shop wanted $70 to get it running right, and there's no guarantee they could have done so.

Answer:
The carb has a sealed adjustment screw. Its behind a black plastic plug on the back side of the carb. Remove that by drilling a 1/16th hole into the plastic plug, threading in a small screw, and pulling the plastic plug out. Under that you will see the adjustment screw. It would most likely need a half a turn counter clockwise.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 919 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolute satisfaction!! I am 80 years old and still take care of my 10 acres. This is the FIRST weed-eater I have ever had that was easy to start, easy to reload string and light enough to weed-eat around all of my Crepe Myrtles. I have about 100 . Love the weedeater. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Purchase I have only had for a short time but one feature I really appreciate and like is when you start the motor the string head doesn't rotate until you press the throttle. My previous trimmer once you start the engine, the string head rotates which is annoying when moving from one work area to the next. October 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good Been using it for a month... so far it works great. The plastic replacement string wastes quite a bit. How you use it affects the string wear-tear. I recommend buying the roll of replacement thread. October 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than my other Orange trimmer I have been a strong believer in one particular type of weed eater. It was suppose to be top of the line. After I had it in the shop 3 times and spent more that it cost-- I decided to try another brand. The color of my old grass trimmer was orange like most of their other products. Every time I took it back to have them work on it there was only one problem--will not crank! So I came to your store and talked to one of your employees about gas trimmers. He told me that he had an Echo trimmer and that it was easy to crank. I decided to give it a try I certainly was tried of pulling on the other orange trimmer. Turns out it is easy to crank and I think I will be happy with it. It is a lot easier to crank and it works just fine. I now have a new orange trimmer that I like. September 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Echo Weed Eataer This weed eater is really easy to start. Not use to the string yet. I have only used a couple of times. I love the easy start. My old one was hard to pull and wore me out getting it to start. Really works well except I need a thicker string as I use it up too quickly and have to put in new too often . September 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Conflicted I brought this weed eater and love that it's easy to start. The only complaint is that I don't like to have thread it in a very short period. What I did was change the head on love it. I brought the other head for about $30 and had it installed. I will stick with traditional head from now on. September 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OK, but have a pocket full of strig pre cut. I like using the precut string, but they break so quickly that you are constantly going to your pocket for new ones. I use .95 string and it does way better than .80. Starts easy, and has plenty of power for up to almost 1/2 thick weeds if you work at them. This one was a big step down for me in motor size, the curved shaft, and giving up string feed (but that is another nightmare). We have an acre and I grow grass on about 1/3rd, the back 2/3's needs a lot of attention, and I'm hoping this unit is up to the task from a longevity position. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth every penny Bought this over the weekend after doing some research, wow what a great product, set up is easy and your'e up n running in minutes. Was skeptical atter purchase as I walked out of the store a man was returning the exact same model. It went thru thick weeds with no problems, as many have stated the rapid reloader is a pain, yet I had no problems, stopping to reload lets you crack open a cold one after sweating your bag off. If you'e on the fence about buying this bad boy, just do it!! You wont be disapointed!! August 29, 2016
