I have always used echo in the past when I had a mowing service and loved them . I recently started my lawn care business back up after being out of the business for a little over 10 years. I started out with other equipment and they work ok but not quite to the level I expect from my equipment so I ordered the srm 28 and could not be happier! The machine starts easy has more than enough power to do any task you might ask of it and it runs so smooth! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a trimmer

This product is a beast I Have noticed as well thought it drinks a lot of gas I would say as as much as twice the 266 I have you can hear the power difference in the motor. You can fell the power in the trigger when cutting though weeds. You can easy cut thick weeds. If you have a lot of land to clear or do landscaping buy this its amazing.

This is literally the most expensive piece of garbage i have ever wasted my money on. Most of the time time its under repair, not functional. Has never once just started right up, there's always some little game you have to play with it, tilt it on its side to start it, the pull starter gets stuck, have to CONSTANTLY spray carb cleaner in it and baby the fuel system... Not to mention MOST of the original parts wear out WAY too fast for a $400 piece of equipment, i have already spent over $100 on replacement parts for this piece of junk in the two years ive owned it. Unacceptable if you ask me

This is a huge waste of money! The machine has not run properly since it was purchased.
To top it all off, the poorly trained staff at the Fleming Island store 6369 says over the phone that they will give me store credit to replace it and upon arrival, they refuse. They shouldn't promise something they won't commit to.
This waste of $400 and the overall experience with Home Depot has surely made me a Lowes customer.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Guest So far, so good.
I've only used it a couple of times so far but it has performed well. It's fairly well balanced and has plenty of power. It also seems more fuel efficient than any trimmer I've used. If it lasts well and continues to perform as it does now, I'll be a happy customer.

Initially I'm generally pleased with the trimmer. It is pricey compared to similar trimmers. I purchased based on the name hoping to get a longer life. Not real happy with how difficult it is to get it started. Get ready to make a few pulls before it starts. Once running...no problems. BUT...it isn't very responsive to the throttle pull. There seems to be a delay when throttling up so don't expect a crisp throttle response. It doesn't seem to be a problem for performance....just seems sluggish. Still performs fine. The "bump" line delivery system works well. It is somewhat of a hassle to load because you have to measure out a very long section of line, then feed it halfway through the feeder, then turn it until it is loaded inside. Like I said...a little bit cumbersome, but does an excellent job of feeding the line and lasts a good long time before needing to be refilled.

I was needing a weedeater to use at my camper I contacted my local echo dealer In Marietta Ohio Langs outdoor power Equipmant to see if they had any used echo trimmers and the owner said he had a used SRM 280 that was a 2012 model in great shape I asked how much and he told me $187.00 so I went down that day and bought it and I am very well pleased with it I use it every week at my camper and it has ran excellent I purchased the speed feed head for it cause it had the echo Eco head on it I just like the speed feed head better it is easier and quicker to load . Haven't got to use it yet with the speed feed head yet but plan on doing so next week. I also own a Echo PAS 265 attachment weedeater as well that I bought used in 2013 from my local dealer and use it at my mom and dads house and it has been a very good product also. Back in 2013 I paid $187.00 for it then also bought the blower attachment for it also. All my equipment is echo brand I have a 1996 PB 2100 leaf blower that i bought used at my local dealer in 2012 and use it at my camper all the time. I also have a PB 255 that I bought new in September 2014 and also own a echo PB 580 T backpack blower that I got as a Christmas gift in 2015 it really has a lot of power . ECHo is the only brand I will ever purchase cause of the five year warranty and I have never had any trouble with any echo product I have. I get them out in the winter twice a week and start them up and let them run for 20 min and have never had any trouble in the spring with anything at all.
