2-Line Rapid-Loader Head is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weed Eating Head Stringing Made Easy The 2 line Rapid Loader Head weed eating head is easy to install..No more winding string on a spool. The two line system works great. . I bought My first rapid load two string head over 20 years ago. It still works, but I was surfing the Home Depot store web site and seen Rapid Loader. I thought Why Not get a New One..So I bought it, and when it arrived. I had it on within less than 10 minutes, and was clearing out weeds along My fence line... How I do it is..I cut My line in lengths about 8"long , that fit the head from the center out to the line cuter..I put them in groups or 10, with a wire twist.. I put a pack in the back pocket when I start working..If a line wears short or breaks off...I just pull in a new line., a pare of needle nose pliers helps by grabbing the line end that's broke off, to pulling it through the head, or just use the new line to push the old out, as the new enters the head..............a great product, that last....You can't go wrong with this...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent for heavy line I have a higher end echo trimmer I use to trim along my fence, planting areas, trees, and a couple creeks that meet in my yard. I need to trim some bigger stuff and some dense grasses and weeds. I use this trimmer head so I can run .155 line that will cut through most everything without wearing, fraying, or breaking constantly. I ran the trimmer over 3 hours this morning, replacing the line only six times. If you are running .090 line, just get a bump feed head, but if you want to really cut through stuff, get this and some .155 line. You can run the trimmer at low rpm and get through all the small stuff easily. Of course, after a few years of use, the housing will wear, which is why I am happily purchasing another today. I never considered going back to bump feed and thin line. This is much faster and more effective. Pay no attention to those reviews that say the line snaps. That's the line, not the head. And the ones that say the line flies out are probably using thin line that is harder to hold and lets more debris into the hole, probably causing the locking cam to stick. Blowing it out with a little air and spraying some oil in should resolve those issues. Just good maintenance practices... I considered giving it only four stars because I need to replace it every few years, but I'm perfectly happy with it, and happy to continue to use it. I just wish they would put a metal ring on the bottom to prevent the plastic wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes the job so much easier and faster. Love it. All it took to change the head was a long screw and now I don,t have to mess with always tring to rewind the string. I just pull the ends out and push another piece in. It is so easy and fast.I will never go back to winding spools again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from great idea, poorly executed. Pawls strip out! I have had 3 of these. One is still working, but I had to disassemble it and clean and lubricate it. The other stripped out the pawls in 2 days of yard work! The little "ratchet" pawls simply stripped their teeth , and now the unit will not hold line well on one side, and not at all on the other. Poor materials.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice upgrade to trimmer works well, line wears quickly but easy to change with little time lost to tangled weedeater line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well but buy .155 line for it. Bought a new trimmer for my mother in law. Got the quick change head so she could change the line on her own. With smaller line .060 its kinda inconvenient. I bought .155 line and can pretty much mow through anything with it. Just no good ya gotta turn it off for every line swap, but if I had a standard yard I doubt it would be an issue with .155 line.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very poor product What I ordered was not what I received. Home depot had the same item on two different products that were similar and I received the lessor of the two. Bad online order and won't do that again. I'll put my hands on the correct product in the store next time.
