This loader head has the same product i.d. as a hybrid multi-feature loader that does not fit my trimmer. The sales manager was kind enough to give me the line loader that was on a floor model. Thank goodness cause I would have had to buy it online elsewhere.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nana Makes the job so much easier and faster. Love it.
All it took to change the head was a long screw and now I don,t have to mess with always tring to rewind the string. I just pull the ends out and push another piece in. It is so easy and fast.I will never go back to winding spools again.

This trimmer head was easy to install and is easy to load. Way better then trying to wind the bump head type. Well worth the purchase.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by cjssnc Very poor product
What I ordered was not what I received. Home depot had the same item on two different products that were similar and I received the lessor of the two. Bad online order and won't do that again. I'll put my hands on the correct product in the store next time.

I use this head for my commercial Lawn business. It works great and is cheaper than using speed loaders.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VinDog excellent for heavy line
I have a higher end echo trimmer I use to trim along my fence, planting areas, trees, and a couple creeks that meet in my yard. I need to trim some bigger stuff and some dense grasses and weeds. I use this trimmer head so I can run .155 line that will cut through most everything without wearing, fraying, or breaking constantly.
I ran the trimmer over 3 hours this morning, replacing the line only six times.
If you are running .090 line, just get a bump feed head, but if you want to really cut through stuff, get this and some .155 line. You can run the trimmer at low rpm and get through all the small stuff easily.
Of course, after a few years of use, the housing will wear, which is why I am happily purchasing another today. I never considered going back to bump feed and thin line. This is much faster and more effective. Pay no attention to those reviews that say the line snaps. That's the line, not the head. And the ones that say the line flies out are probably using thin line that is harder to hold and lets more debris into the hole, probably causing the locking cam to stick. Blowing it out with a little air and spraying some oil in should resolve those issues. Just good maintenance practices...
I considered giving it only four stars because I need to replace it every few years, but I'm perfectly happy with it, and happy to continue to use it. I just wish they would put a metal ring on the bottom to prevent the plastic wear.

Used a lot of different style trimmer heads and as for me this one beats them all. No tangles, no spools to wind up, just a simple quick change system that wont hold you back from finishing the job.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MikeT great idea, poorly executed. Pawls strip out!
I have had 3 of these. One is still working, but I had to disassemble it and clean and lubricate it. The other stripped out the pawls in 2 days of yard work! The little "ratchet" pawls simply stripped their teeth , and now the unit will not hold line well on one side, and not at all on the other. Poor materials.
