Although I haven't used this saw enough to offer an educated review of its performance I am impressed with it's design and quality of materials. I have owned several Husky's and loved them. I am equally, if not more impressed with the Echo CS 600p. So far it cuts and runs very well.
I do wish that the securing attachments for the gas and bar oil caps were a little longer. They do interfere somewhat with adding fuel and oil. I suspect they were designed short in order to minimize the likelihood of catching dirt and saw dust that would then be transferred to the fuel and oil tanks.

I've been using Echo products for 18 years now so when it came time to replace my chainsaw the Echo was on top of the list. After comparing with Stihl it was kind of a no brainer. For over $100 less and a 5 year warranty.
I got the CS-600P with a 20" bar. It is well balanced and has real good power and I expect it will be as durable as the other Echos I have owned!

I just can't say enough good things about this saw. It flat ROCKS! Echo has hit a home run here. Full of professional features, plenty of power, super fast in the cut, and very well made. You will not be disappointed in this saw.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by C Lewis The best built chainsaws today
I have been the proud owner of an echo cs600p for over three years now. It is my main go to saw for firewood cutting and has never let me down. When I first bought the saw most of my friends and family could not understand why I would buy an echo chainsaw being fans of both Stihl and Husky. Now I have proven to them the ruggedness and performance of Echo chainsws many of them have realized that they were just buying a name instead of a quality built product and they were paying $200-$400 to do so. So if your considering saws in this class say a plastic constructed ms311 or an auto tune Husky that this is a rugged built metal frame saw that does not require an unreliable computer to run and will still hang well with the other two and keep going when they break
down for a lot less purchase cost.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mikeh Cut up 100' fallen red oak with 30" trunk no problem.
Bought this saw to do the job that 46cc ryobi really struggled with. Echo Saw had plenty of power, nice torque with the bar sunk in all the in the trunk and never felt weak. Throttle is very linear with easy modulation. No issues with starting, three pulls on cold start and one on warm. Overall seems Good built quality too. The chain bar is solid steel which ensures no bending. Went through two chains to cut up the three. Substituted with Oregon chain. Only thing can think of is the saw sips good amount of gas. And although the weight of the saw is average in this class, wish it was bit lighter. Overall, very satisfied with the machine.
