Bought my 600p in 2013.with a few minor modifications it's a hoss.starts every single time.the key to no issues with any saw is good oil and non ethanol gas.
All of my other similar sized saws.even the 70cc saws stay in the truck or garage anymore.i use my 600p for firewood, landscaping and in the off season logging.
What would be really nice if echo would make a compareable model to the stihl and husqvarnas in 70cc.build them they will sell.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mikeh Cut up 100' fallen red oak with 30" trunk no problem.
Bought this saw to do the job that 46cc ryobi really struggled with. Echo Saw had plenty of power, nice torque with the bar sunk in all the in the trunk and never felt weak. Throttle is very linear with easy modulation. No issues with starting, three pulls on cold start and one on warm. Overall seems Good built quality too. The chain bar is solid steel which ensures no bending. Went through two chains to cut up the three. Substituted with Oregon chain. Only thing can think of is the saw sips good amount of gas. And although the weight of the saw is average in this class, wish it was bit lighter. Overall, very satisfied with the machine.

I had a Stihl 390 and it lasted 2+ years and I replaced it with a CS-600P. It's been almost 4 years ago when I bought the 600P. It's outstanding. I liked so much I bought another new CS-600P. I can always count on this Echo chainsaw. It's a beast. You won't be disappointed.

I love this saw. I bought it when I was going to retire My CS 500 VL due to no chain brake. Right after I bought this saw, I found a chain brake for the other one, so now I use both. The only quibble I have is that they now make a 620, which is the same engine, but I think a little more power and more pro features. Should have been in this one..

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NWLouisiana well built effective chainsaw
I purchased this chainsaw as a replacement for a lower end model. The price was definilty higher but the 5 year warranty helps offset that.
I have used the saw to remove several large trees and it is running just as good now as it was on the first one.
It makes short, nearly effortless work of sawing up trees and branches to about 15" in diameter and while a bit slower on the larger logs, it is still pretty quick.
The chain takes large chunks out of the wood and almost falls through the log under it's own weight,
I am pretty impressed with it so far except for perhaps the price.

The chainsaw meets the expectations of what a power tool should do. You pull the starter and it starts rather than on many other products out there where you're using the pull starter as a form of exercise. No, this product delivers not only in ease of start but also in ease of use. Cutting is a breeze. Efficient and well-balanced. A bit heavy but you have to expect that from a motor this size. A fine machine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Josh1981 The best 60cc saw on the market
I bought this saw to use for firewood cutting and property maintanance and Im very glad I did. I use the 20 inch bar with full comp chain. This saw cuts fast is very easy to operate very easy to start (4-5 pulls MAX) and is very comfortable to use. The best 60cc saw I have ever used. I will never sell this saw. Highly recommended.

I'm a wildland firefighter and have extensive use with Stihl and Husqvarna saws. That being said, Stihl's new emission control systems are complete garbage and are prone to overheating. Husqvarna's overall quality has decreased over the years too. This is my first experience with Echo products, and after much research I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.
