What are the differences between the Echo gas pack blowers, PB-770H and PB-770T ?

Asked by: Anonymous
Mostly the throttle location. The H has a separate throttle "Handle used with your left hand. (Easier & splits the work load right and left hands) The T has the throttle on the blower tube. (more fatigue for right hand)

Does the model have left hand blower?

The pictorial of the model #PB-770H showed me as right hand blower but I'm lefty and would like to hold the blower in my left arm.
Asked by: Anonymous
No. Right hand blower only, but this one has a left hand throttle, which I think is a plus.

With a very large yard and a huge variety of leaves, this does the trick to get everything out of the flower beds and other hard to reach areas while able to cover a large area quickly. A little more expensive than the in-store model, but the added power was well worth it. After talking with lawn care professionals, they suggested the back pack over the wheel based blower because of the versatility...they were right...this back pack goes where you go and with the extra power! I don't know how echo compares to other brands....and I don't need to know, because this one does the job that any homeowner will ever need....

This pb770h back pac leaf blower is very powerful and does the job for which it has been advertised as. But the only problem I have with the blower is that the end tube falls off quite often. I tried numerous times to put it back on correctly but it comes off eventually. Well I guess I will have to put some screws it it or super glue it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect...... Almost In my opinion this Echo backpack blower is almost perfect. There are 3 things that kept me from giving this five stars. First, and most important to me at least, the gas tank needs to be larger! If all you're doing is using this a little around your house, it's fine, but for a pro a small gas tank means more stopping to refill on large jobs. Second, I owned a Stihl backpack blower for years and I liked that the throttle control and On/Off switch was on the handle. On the Echo, it's on a separate handle entirely on the left side of the blower. I didn't look closely enough at the picture to realize this. Not a deal breaker, but I prefer the Stihl design much more in this regard. Third and lastly, and least important although I think still worth mentioning, the instructions on assembly could be better. It took me a little while to figure out how everything went together. I'm a fairly smart guy, so I don't believe it was my lack of intelligence. So now that the negatives are out of the way, here are the positives. This Echo backpack blower is very nice looking. When I removed it from the box I said out loud without even thinking, wow, it was nicer than I expected. It is also very comfortable, at least for me. It may be a bit different for each guy, depending on his body type. I really like the padded shoulder straps, they are definitely more comfortable than the shoulder straps that were on my Stihl. I also think that the backing on the Echo feels more comfortable. The power seems to be there, I'd say the power of this Echo is at least on par with the power of my old Stihl blower. All in all, a good product at a reasonable price. I would probably buy another Echo at some point down the road. If Echo would move the throttle and On/Off switch to the handle like on my old Stihl, I would definitely buy another Echo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All the power I'll ever need and then some! This unit was replacing an Echo PB-4600 that was probably at least 15-20 years old. I was hesitant to do so because...well, I'm of the opinion that they just don't build things the way they used to. But Echo, once again, has proven me wrong. I have an acre with approximately 35 large oak and beech trees so when autumn rolls around, my blower gets a workout. This unit stunned me with the power it has. I've been outside after rainy days and this thing moves leaves...as well as acorns and small branches...liken they're bone dry. I've joked I could knock down a full-grown adult elephant at ten yards with this thing at full throttle. Whether or not longevity is an issue is still up for debate since I've only owned this unit for a little under a month, but nothing I've seen so far would lead me to question that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing is awesome. If it isn't nailed down it... This thing is awesome. If it isn't nailed down it will move it. Okay, maybe not. But it has planty power. Bought it to use as blower on a deer feeder filler. It will blow 50lbs of corn or protein pellets in 30 seconds. No more up and down the ladder with 50lb bags !
