I recently purchased a new home with a decent sized back yard. I only have 2 trees, but my neighbors have a bunch of different kinds of HUGE trees. With fall approaching I knew I needed a good blower. I was stuck between the pb770, and one model below. I'm SO glad I chose the top of the line.
This blower is like a jet engine attached to your back. It actually torques your whole body under full throttle (not in a bad way). The straps are comfortable, it starts on the second or third pull every time, and it's just awesome. The first time I used it and went full throttle I blew some grass and leaves from the back of my driveway all the way into the street, unintentionally! That's a good 50 feet! Such a powerful blower, I couldn't ask for more.
Will take a video next use if anyone is around to shoot it for me!

Purchased in May 2013 along with Echo trimmer. Loved using this blower for fall cleanup last season because of the power. I have always used fresh gas mixed with fuel stabilizer in both the trimmer and the blower but one Saturday in September of 2014 the blower would bog down when at wide open throttle (W.O.T.). I have been using almost every weekend this summer along with the trimmer for residential home owner use and now finding the blower is bogging. After much research I have found others who have the same issue with this same model and Echo will NOT cover the repair costs because they consider this fuel related due to the ethanol wreaking havoc with the carburetors. I took to authorized Echo service facility and they said it is $100/hr to tear down the carb and clean. I went ahead and cleaned the carb myself, which looked spotless, but to no avail as the blower still bogs. The problem is the Walbro WYK-345 carb on this PB770 is set to run lean to meet EPA requirements for pollution and that there are no high and low screw adjustments for the end user to adjust because the EPA has strict laws about this. If the carburetor had a high and low screw it would simply be about a quarter turn counter clockwise on the high screw to allow more fuel into the engine on W.O.T. The other alternative is to slightly bend the metering clip upward to richen up the mixture. I did this and it did not fix the bogging. I am going to rebuild and clean the carb one more time but replace the metering diaphragm this time and hope it fixes. If this does not work I am going to spend the $75 on a replacement Walbro carb and use ethanol free fuel from now on. By the way, my Echo trimmer runs fine and I will never by Echo again. I heard Stihl has the adjustable carburetor. If you pay $500 for a machine with a 5 year warranty you expect a lot more than this so don't make the same mistake and purchase because you see so many positive reviews. I wonder how many others who gave this a good review but are now having this problem. Just google PB-770 bogging and you will find threads on this that will make you consider purchasing the competitor's model.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ARDvark Awesome backpack blower, moves leaves like crazy
I bought this after borrowing and liking a friends 755. You can't go wrong with this, I've cleared the lawn of leaves in an hour where it would literally take 4-6 hours of several people raking. It moves leaves, pine needles, pine cones and spiders. Uh yes, spiders. Don't let anyone stand in front of it or they might find spiders on their person later. (oops)
That said - it is fairly heavy so if you are slight of frame it may tire you out quickly. Also, assembly of the tubes is a tad difficult . I think two people to grip the tubes for twisting might have helped.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by vintageacres Massive Power - A Pleasure to use
I recently purchased an acreage property with lots of trees. I started with an electric blower, stepped up to an entry model gas blower, and then decided not to kid around and get a blower that fit the task at hand. This blower fits that role perfectly. It lifts large amounts of leaves easily. It stays cool on my back. It starts easily and reliably. I can clear areas quickly and with minimal effort. My only complaint is that the pressure of the airflow tends to push me back on one side, causing the blower to feel a little unstable on me. A good fix would be to include a strap that connects the shoulder straps and possibly a belt strap. Also, it would be great to have an electric starter, as one can't start the unit while wearing it. These are minor issues. Although this unit is not cheap, I have had no regrets, as it is a powerhouse.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Alena Great even for beginners
I have little experience tending to my yard. I found this leaf blower easy to assemble and use. It is powerful and I got my 1acre yard cleaned up quickly. Highly recommend.
