All the longer bar and chains have been dis-continued by Home Depot.
Asked by: Sparky
Altho Home Depot says that they do not put this in the store, you may be able to order from an Echo dealer the longer bar and chain. We did.

Can I use this with a ripping chain

Can I put a ripping chain and use this with an Alaskan saw mill? Does it have enough power?
Asked by: map0108
I used a Stihl 046 with 76CC and a ripping chain in my Alaskan mill by Grandberg. This should work as far as power goes.

Does Home Depot have a store in Colorado that I can purchase this saw ( 24 inch.80.7 cc Echo gas) chainsaw today and pick it up today?

Need to get started today or early tomorrow near Red Feather Lakes in northern Colorado Northwest of Fort Collins. Smaller blade in addition to less power will be problematic and definitely not cost efficient.
Asked by: Muddawg
Home Depot told me that they do not put this saw in stores, you must order on line.

Customer Reviews

24 in. 80.7cc Gas Chainsaw is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Torque! The CS800 is a saw that has the torque of saws of yesteryear and the build of a Mac 805. Does not have the chain speed speed of the "other two" but deep in the cut will slow down and keep going with its old school torque, sit on it and it keeps pulling. For the money it is a great saw. Having a manual oiler and the individual choke and kill switches is refreshing. Someday they will put a side adjust on it, but with the bigger bar on it I can see why they don't, as a lot of people would break them with the bigger bar. Run a 8 tooth sprocket on it with a 24 inch bar and you have a great all around bucking saw. Love Echo, all the way!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded expectations After considering a Stihl 660, Husqvarna 395, and a Jonsered 2188, I settled on the smallest of them all - Echo 800P. I needed a saw that would pull a 36" bar and was concerned that the Echo 800P would be struggling to do so (given it is much smaller in cc's than the aforementioned). HOWEVER, the first tree I went after was a huge White Oak and I can tell you, the Echo 800P bit into it and didn't let go. In fact, it never stalled nor really even slowed down. I was very impressed! I will say one thing - it makes no sense that Echo has not put a side adjustable chain tensioner on this saw...NONE. Still, I bought it knowing it did not have one and therefore cannot complain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great power, good price Simple straight forward easy to start (3 pulls cold) no tools required to adjust bar oil flow, and has a manual thumb pump for those really big logs. Has separate on/off switch and choke where as most have them combined on one lever and can be slightly harder use with gloves on. The anti vibe isn't as smooth as some other brands in the class but in all fairness I'll take it over replacing torn rubber pieces that other manufactures use to connect the handle to the engine case. The carburetor is also adjustable, so as weather changes or you live in a higher elevation you have room to play. To me this is a main selling point as I have another echo saw that's 10 years old and still runs great. In the past few months I have ditched all the yard equipment I have which was another popular brand and replaced with ECHO products. I may just be a home owner but I take down 5-8 trees every year. Can't beat the 5 year warrenty either, if your in the market and have a dealer local stop in talk to them ask if they have a demo model you can take outside. Yes if your in a hurry some can be bought at Home Depot or ordered online. But do yourself a favor stop in talk to your local shop owners if you have any issues they are the ones you have to take it to anyway. Personally I'd rather buy from a small store than a box store, plus they can set you up with the proper bar length and proper chain for what your cutting as well as answer any questions you may have.
