This is a decently built sprayer but after the first use I found the pump stroke to be extremely short. After further investigation I found the diaphragm arm hits the plastic shroud that covers the diaphram. This requires lots of short strokes to pump the unit excessively to keep pressure. Of course this resulted in a worn out arm by the time I finished the first tank of spray application. After looking for the receipt which was gone months ago I opted to take my Dremel tool and cut away the plastic that was impeding the pump arm which made the unit more user friendly. After reading some of the posts here about "clicking" and "popping" during use I can only assume this is a design flaw rather than a one time incident. I have since relegated this unit to weed killer as I don't apply much of that and have purchased another brand for my heavier spraying jobs.

I love this sprayer. Works great and I can cover a lot of area in a short time. It's heavy when filled with 35lbs of fluid but that's to be expected. The plastic clips and straps are a little uncomfortable on my lumbar/spare tire area. I might wrap them with padding and a lil black tape.

This product is very user friendly. I have acreage that weeds take over if not controlled. This little sprayer is just the right size and performs great.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bajabound91 Very good product compared to others that I reviewed on the Internet
Solo and other brands were pretty badly reviewed on the Internet. Many said that the straps were weak and that the diaphragm failed soon after purchase. This sprayer has excellent straps and is comfortable to wear. It works well. The only issue I have is the pump handle makes a clicking noise each time I pump it. I have not isolated where the noise is coming from yet. It does not seem to interfere with the operation of the sprayer so far.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nancy To uncomfortable to wear (woman)
Well, this is an odd review. I was VERY excited about buying this product but it goes back today. After spending an hour with the straps. I gave up. Being a woman with a shorter frame and narrower shoulders I could see this thing was determined to fall off of my shoulders even moving the lower plastic piece.
It would be so easy to design this like the old aluminum frame backpacks (I have one) with a real HIP belt and having a clevis pin attachment on the lower frame. A sternum strap and curved shoulder straps like newer backpacks would also help make it more comfortable.
I think for the majority of men who are the main market, this would work well. I am very much disappointed as it looks to be a very nice quality product and the wand has a great feel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JimSC What I thought it would be!!
This Echo backpack sprayer is just what I needed. It was easy to assemble and comfortable when wearing. It is definitely a great upgrade from my former Ortho hand-held tank sprayer. I easily sprayed non-stop without having to set down and pump, so I saved time because I could keep on moving and spraying while I pressurized it.

Makes a spraying job so much easier. You don't have to hold it or pump it the way bottle sprayers work. Easy to handle and much larger capacity.
