I would have given the 4 point harness 5 stars, except clipping in the Brush Cutter is a pain. Other than that it was a comfortable way to support the equipment.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jack A Great Alternative to the Over Shoulder Single Harness
This 4-point harness replaces the original over the shoulder harness (that broke during use). It spreads the weight of the trimmer evenly over both shoulders now and is much more comfortable in use. Getting the harness set up for use can take some effort, but once adjusted, you can leave it alone for the next use. I recommend this product.

I had to adjust the harness to "fit" my body. That took some trial and error, but I am pleased with the results. If another person was to try to use this harness, they would likely have to readjust it to their own body--height, arm length, etc.--unless they were about my same size. The harness does do a good job of transferring the bulk of the weight of the trimmer to my shoulders and back rather than having all the weight on my hands and arms. This allows me to work much more comfortably--the reason I bought the harness to begin with. I've only used it a few times, but so far so good.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bushwacker What I was hoping for.
After purchasing the Ecco PAS-225 string trimmer, I found I needed a harness. The new trimmer works beautifully, but is heavier and more fatiguing than what I was used to. The harness fits comfortably and put the trimmer in great balance. I will wear it for even the smallest jobs as it is easy to use. The weight is comfortably distributed across both shoulders and the unit rest against a well thought out upper leg/hip pad. The harness also seems to take some of the stress and vibration off the forearms, helping avoid tendonitis. The only reason I didn't give quality a 5 star rating is because it's new. I can't speak to durability.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Darrel Definitely helps with weight distribution
Does take the weight off your arms, but I wish there were an adjustment for height. I am 6' tall and I had to leave the belt un-buckled so that I didn't have to lean over. I mainly bought this for my wife so it shouldn't be an issue for her. The other reason I gave less than five stars is if you didn't previously have an eye-bolt to attach a strap you will have to fashion something to attach the harness. It does NOT come with anything to attach it to your weedeater. I had a plain strap that attached with an included eye-bolt which I was able to adjust to fit this harness.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tariq Warning -- harness requires you to have or order a Hook Assembly!
So let me explain the title. I had to call Echo customer service to find out what part I needed to attach the harness to my Echo trimmer. Echo told me the part does not come with the trimmer nor with the harness, It's an Echo Hook Assembly and as of now it is part number P021012660. If you want to get the part through Home Depot, enter "parts" in the search screen to go to the parts ordering site. Then enter the part number above on the parts ordering site. Shipping is more expensive than the part itself. But without a hook assembly from Echo or some other compatible source, you will NEVER get the harness attached to the trimmer.
The facts (1) that the item description does not warn you that you need the part, (2) that the description does not give you the part number or information, and (3) that you have to order the part separately so that you cannot benefit from reduced shipping or other home depot promotions -- all of these facts are why I have only given three bars for Ease of use and Value. You will jump through hoops before you ever get to use this harness. But overall still four stars because this harness is nicely padded and should make it much easier to use the trimmer and attachments for any extended amount of time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Russ Makes String Trimming A LOT More Pleasant
I tried to make the standard single-shoulder "harness" that came with my Echo brush trimmer work for me, but the load is terribly unbalanced and it makes the work difficult, uncomfortable, and unnecessarily fatiguing. So I tried this 4-point harness, and oh what a difference. It has padded shoulder straps, a padded waist belt, a thigh pad for the string trimmer to rest on, and a simple quick release for the trimmer to hang on. It's really hard to describe how much more comfortable and how much less fatiguing it makes the work. Absolutely no regrets on this purchase. I'd buy it again at twice the price!
