Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mueller The Echo edger made landscaping our yard a breeze!
My husband used the edger to clean up the overgrown grass along our sidewalks and driveway. He also used it to make a "trench" to install landscape edging for all our flower beds surrounding our house, which made it go much more easily and quickly.
The edger is great quality, very sturdy, and starts very easily! We also have an Echo trimmer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Justice Works Great!
I've never owned an edger, I've always used my weed wacker. Now I wish I would have bought this thing years ago. The edges of my driveway and sidewalk were in poor shape, this edger had no problem at all as far as power goes. Great buy, no regrets!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rick Would not reccomend
Starts and runs ok cold but when restarted after about 30 minutes it surges then stalls. It has to be restarted several times before it stays running. It takes longer to to start it than it does to do the clients walkways or driveways. Once running it works ok in dry soil but if the soil is damp the guard constantly gets clogged and slows the engine. I have to keep a large screwdriver with me to clear the soil from the guard.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by FireFerum Absolute Junk
This edger is absolute junk. I bought this because I had an Echo Trimmer for years without any issues. Should have gone with a different brand. First one I used once for 20 minutes. Turned off and set aside for one week until the next yard cut. Would not start the second time. Took it back and got a new one because I didn't want a new item to be fixed. I thought it was a fluke. The second one worked for the rest of the season which was about 10 uses of 20 minutes each. Set it aside at the end of the season. This year put in new fuel mix and went to start it. It would not idle. After repeated turn on and off it idles but chokes when you rev it up. Thought I needed to let it warm up. Nope. After 30 minutes of running it and putting yet again new fuel in it same results. It seems the brand is not what it used to be. I'm extremely upset that I even recommended this brand to a friend. Now I have to apologize because they have the same issue. I'm going to put this for sale and buy a Husqvarna.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gw135 Very Good for the price!
This edger replaces a corded electric one that finally burnt out.
It may seem a little underpowered to some at first who have an extremely overgrown edge. Mine was kept up from last year, so I am just about able to run down my walks. I did my elderly neighbors pavement last week. His was overgrown. It just took a little more time with a back and forth motion to get the job done. A person need to go slower to keep track of the pavement edge anyways.
The tool worked fine. I really like the adjustable wheel that allows people of differnt hights to be comfortable using this.
Good ideas, Good tool, Good warrenty, Good Price!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Reviwer Do not buy!
Let me start by saying that I have been buying Echo products for over 12 years. After having read all of the reviews I decided to try this model because of the price difference between this and the 230 model. Honestly I do not understand how it received as many good reviews as it has. The plastic blade protector gets clogged almost immediately. It jumps as it is rather light weight. It also does not have enough power once the blade makes contact with the ground. It may be ok for a small driveway but do not expect to be able to do any substantial curb work at all. The only two good features are the price and that it starts on 3 pulls like every Echo I have ever had. Thank goodness Home Depot let me return it after the first use for a full refund. I recommend spending the extra $100 and getting the pe230, even if you have to wait for it to go on sale. Just got done using the pe230 and had none of the issues that I mentioned with this model. I really can not believe the difference a few cc's and the metal guard can make. Hope this helps

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OKie Light weight and EZ to start
Runs very well without much effort to start. I like that it is light weight and has high enough revs to get the job done. The only complaint is that damp soil clogs the guard stalling the engine. Other than that, I'm very happy with the product.

I keep the older echo edger at my dads house so i got this new echo for me and my sons edging needs. Goes alongside out echo weed eater. Alot better and easier to startup vs a stihl.
