Rated 5 out of 5Â by AAA1 Great saw extra cc`s worth getting on the 18inch
Worked and started as described . Fast cutting, weight just right, good color easy to locate in the woods. Worth a little extra getting the 45cc on the 18inch bar size. Ordered online, quick shipping, packed securely . Would recommend .

I bought this saw about five years ago. I was working for a tree company at the time and wanted to practice on a smaller saw. So I brought it to my parents to help them clear cut. I was not easy on this saw I figured that it was a cheap saw and it wouldn't hold up to the test I was going to put it through. But, it did. I still put it to the test. It takes a 3/16 file, and that is too small. So I bored it out to a 7/32. It handles it just fine. But, all in all I am very impressed and I try to convince anyone to buy and echo product. This has impressed a lot of people around were I live, so it makes me wounder why the dealers try to to talk you out of buying one. Well after a lot of research I have bought another echo saw and trimmer and plan on buying another saw and trimmer.
Very impressed on the durability and ruggedness of the echo line up let's hope the newer design can take the same abuse.

Great saw I bought a smaller bar for it so I can do the small work with it and the power and balance is sweet and it defiantly holds its own agents bigger saws.

After a recent tree clearing experience, it became obvious that my 14" Echo saw just wasn't the right choice for large projects that involve numerous 18-20" diameter trees. I considered a couple of "cheaper" saws, but after reading many reviews and spec sheets, decided to maintain my brand loyalty to the one who has never let me down. I chose this particular saw because the 45cc motor would have plenty of power to turn an 18" chain, as it usually is spec'd out for a 20" bar. And right that was! This saw has plenty of power, and never bogs down when you push the limits. A couple of features that I found real nice are the pump primer which delivers fuel right to the carb., and makes startup easy, and the location and quality of the air intake filter. The filter is more out of the way of wood shavings then on other saws, and the filter itself is much more like a K&N automotive application then a typical cheesy 2-stroke filter. Great investment, and well worth the price!!!

Hurrican sandy blew trees down like match stixs. My old MAC 3200 was not going to handle the 4' diam tree in driveway. I picked up saw and cut for 12 hours day one and 4 hours day 2 and 6 hours day 3. The saw always started went threw 2 chains in 3 days.
The 4 foot diam tree 100' tall was a good challenge . the saw worked like a champ . the tree was laying on a house . Had to use a ladder to access the top portion of the tree .. worked well off the ladder and upside down cuts. Its a keeper .
