Which is more important mph or cfm?

Your two handheld echo's have 165 mph and 191 mph; however, the 191 mph has a lower cfm.
Asked by: pete
If you want both, you can buy both flared and straight blower tubes under Accessories from the Echo website. Your question is about "open volume" vs. "pressurized stream." It's like the difference between a garden hose without a nozzle vs. a hose with a nozzle set at "narrow stream." Which will move more dirt: open volume (higher volume/CFM) or pressurized stream (higher velocity/MPH)? Obviously, with enough volume you can move as much dirt with volume as with higher-pressure stream, so there is a break even point there somewhere. However, tapping the same source (in this case a 25.4cc engine), higher velocity (with sufficient volume) will do more work, according to several reviews comparing the PB-250LN with the PB-255LN. Those reviews say that the PB-255LN blows harder and gets more done. Now the question is: Is the additional velocity achieved solely by the flared end pipe? I don't know. But you can buy the straight blower tube as an accessory if you want it.

interchangeable nozzles

does this blower come with more than one type of nozzle? For example a round end and a "flat" end?
Asked by: mary
There is a gutter cleaning kit ($55) that has two tubes, one of which is straight, not flared. On the other hand, you could buy a replacement part flared blower tube nozzle on the Echo website and cut off the flared tip in order to have both. I was unable to find the price.

I am right-handed would that block the air flow of the fan?

I am right-handed would that block the air flow of the fan?
Asked by: Keen
The air flow would not be blocked as the fan guard allows flow of air from all sides. Usually the elevation you hold the blower would be low enough to not deter air flow of any type.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to product has been and continues to be ECHO, This is my second blower of this type my old ... My go to product has been and continues to be ECHO, This is my second blower of this type my old one simply wore out after many years of service and rebuilding/replacing of change out parts. This new one has the same reliable features I can use it and not worry about major changes. It is simply the best.......I judge things by would I do that again and the answer for this ECHO product is yes. I have a long list of ECHO products, chain saws, regular and pole, weed trimmers large and small, and of course blowers. You will be glad you chose this product.....and should get years of use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Echo Warranty is a joke Never again will I buy an Echo blower. I would give this cheap Chinese built (US assembled) blower zero stars if possible. I bought the blower brand new and after using once, it wouldn't start. I brought it to Echo dealer for service and they told me the fuel filter was defective. I was under the impression Echo offered a 5 year warranty and the service dealer said this type of repair isn't covered. He also said Echo's warranty is a joke and it doesn't cover much. Search for this online and you will see what I am talking about. There are also many other Echo owners who have also experienced problems with this and the previous 250LN model complaining online. I had to pay $50 to repair after owning the product for 3 weeks. I called Echo to complain and voice my concern and dealt with a manager named Christine who was extremely rude and told me next time I don't have to buy Echo. Never again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to start powerful and light weight I bought this blower over three years ago and it works every time , however I have a great story about this blower . A few weeks ago I was blowing leaves around the pool I slipped and the blower fell into the pool while it's running ,went to the bottom of the pool and was there for five minutes . I thought that was the end of the blower. I took the blow apart mainly the spark plug and the muffler , Blew air through the spark plug and the muffler , fill the tank with a fresh fuel and waited about an hour then I put everything together and started immediately it's been working ever since like a champ . Best blower I have ever had .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Echo Products When it was time to replace my old Echo handheld blower that is 20 plus years old, it was a "no brainier" that I selected the PB255LN model. Starts very easily, has lots of power for a handheld, light enough to carry up a ladder if getting on a roof for leaves, yet very well made. I own several Echo products and they have provided excellent service over the years. My string trimmer is 36 years old , my hedge trimmer is 25 plus years old,two backpack blowers, one that is 30 years old and a second that is 15 plus years old,--- all still running as good as the day of purchase. While other relatives have gone through many lawn products since I have purchased my Echo's, I believe "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" and in the long run I have actually saved quite a bit of money by purchasing my Echo models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Blower Bought this unit to replace an Echo PB 200, which performed flawlessly for 15 years. Build quality is excellent, Posi-Loc blower tubes connect well, controls are user friendly and the rotational handle is nice. Filled unit with Echo Power Fuel, followed starting instructions and engine fired on 2nd pull. Engine has plenty of power and is noticeably quieter than PB 200. Love using this blower. One of my favorite tools!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No power I bought this and the gutter attachment together. First let me say it is very hard to put the attachments on, they are all the same size so you have to spray them with WD40 to try & make them fit. I have always used ECHO back packs & loved them but this hand held one has no power. I will keep it because I need something to clean the gutters with. If I had a choice it would have gone back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid handheld Awesome design a tad heavy.... reliable so far it is an echo takes a sec to go full bore and if primed correctly starts every time one to two pulls..... so far.... the secondary handle surprisingly comes in handy not as powerful as I want but it's probably me just thinking so being a low noise model its ridiculously quiet for a blower.... I do 60 to 70 yards a week

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice blower I bought this about 1 month ago. I use regular gas with Echo oil mix. After about 5 times using it, it now is very difficult to start. I took it back to dealer. Employer said I should not prime in warm weather. That was not true. Would never start without priming.. takes about 6-8 pulls to start now.. what is problem?
